Might play this tomorrow, would love some pointers though.

My character in hardcore hits maybe 2 times out of 10 on level 16 mobs, hes 24, i dont get it. Takes forever to take down a group of 4.

Cant recall any issue like this months ago when i last played.

(Marauder btw)

Also, can someone point me to a solid searing bond build, i dont know what the fuck im doing regarding builds, so id like to play an easy mode for starters but still play in the hardcore leagues.

I would pick the style you like Delicate being either melee or ranged and then check out the builds in the class forums. Most of them will walk you through choosing quest rewards, gearing, and overall play.

Good advice from Krassus, searing bond used to be godlike because you could get 400% dmg on one totem or whatever. Keep in mind, the 1 month hardcore deal isn't your typical hardcore league or modified hardcore league. It's basically ULTRA insane mode with boosted damage. Cycling between different modes every 4 days.

If you're new, the best advice anyone can give you is to really give a gigantic shit about your Resists. Cap that stuff out as soon as possible, if you can't cap it out, atleast get the particilar resist most commonly associated with the end bosses for each act (Cold for a1 - Lightning for a2 - Lightning/Cold for piety act 3 + bleed removal pot for dominus etc + fire res for docks farming)

Accuracy plays a factor in your 2 out of 10 exaggeration. Look into Resolute Technique (Never miss, never crit) if you just never want to deal with finding accuracy on gear/passives. Marauder has like 20% chance to miss base or some shit but has the resolute technique node within walking distance of its passive tree starting location. Most marauder melee/bow builds run resolute.

Keep in mind running melee in the hardcore 1 mo. race might spell disaster for you until you learn which mobs do what and when to have certain resists capped etc.

I went with this for the one month Delicate, its really cheap + easy and works with Scion / Ranger / Shadow classes -Forum - Scion - Elemental Buzzsaw - Solo the entire game, quickly and cheaply 1.1.0 update - Path of Exile

Looked at the Marauder for you and it looks like its got mainly tank builds, righteous fire, and molten strike. If you are stuck on Marauder I would easily go molten strike to begin with. Its a really easy melee build that AE's balls of fire so you'll me an AEing melee with some defensive stats.

thx for the tips guys, really i wasnt exagerating about the misses, i usually spammed sweep i think (The move that does an orange 360 around the marauder) and shit died but now it just wont connect. Like im using the same character i did months ago, i think they changed something while i was gone.

Ill be playing this tonite!

Latency might be a factor here, if it's really as big a deal as you're making it just pick up Resolute Technique.

got 60ms connection, i dunno, doesnt seem laggy, i just spam sweep and mobs health stays full.

Might be going for that ranger build in the guide, im guessing it matters which branch you do first and hes assuming youre not a big enough noob to not know which branch to do first

Class only effects starting position on the passive board and skill gem selections on your quest rewards.

For the searing bond or buzzsaw? Generally the DPS points early are ok as the game gets real around lvl 50

Buzzsaw youll want to fill all of the points while skipping the aura passives until you get to around level 50. The single most important thing is to choose Anger / Wrath at level 10 if you can and trade for the other as a priority even overpriced. This build and a lot of them in the current meta rely on high level gems. Gems (skill or support) do not suffer from XP penalties like we do as players. So you want those 2 auras being leveled from 10 on in your armor or weapons as this build exploits the gems being level 20 and then corrupting them for an extra level.

Gems either scale up insanely pushing them past level 20 (normal max) by corrupting them or using empower + armor with boosts (which you might do if you get to 70+) basically making your aura's do almost all of your elemental DPS which is why its called buzzsaw. It was the first build to solo the end game boss Atziri.

Gems also scale by quality where it will make the skill do more damage by adding raw damage % or adding a support function like 10% increased aoe or fire damage. In those cases which mostly is skill gems & supports there is a gem called Enhance which can boost quality up from 23% corrupted to 31% at level 2 and it scaled way up from there.

Good build to start with and learn mechanics, especially elemental damage and gems.

Thanks for input but trying to decipher this lol

so 1. I can put points in any branches i want in the passive skill tree build in the link, and around lvl50 start putting points in auras

2. Choose anger and (or?) wrath at level 10 and trade for the other (whats the other) as a priority

3. Anger and wrath gems leveled up to 20 ASAP then 21 corrupting them (no idea how to do this)

Anyhow even without precisions its a nice start lol im gonna go with ranger and fuck around with the build linked, thx

1. Yes

2. Yes get anger or wrath, whichever you dont get from quests buy and put in your armor anywhere to start leveling. (ALL of your damage comes from these auras being leveled)

3. Corrupting it takes a Vaal orb and thats it

Thx for the precisions, one more thing before this baby hits 88 miles per hour, its anger and wrath right, not anger or wrath? So id get one from quests and try to buy the other one?

Edit: LOL I was tired and main language isnt english, looks much clearer now, get anger and wrath, gotcha lol

Taking my time im level 10 or so, pretty enjoyable with all the little stuff they add in the new leagues

Thx for build suggest btw, was gonna do a marauder yet again to go safe, nice to mix it up

Some in the non-hardcore race are up to 61, and 64 for the hardcore race. My character name for this race is "stubars", steam is "vecor". I play non-hardcore only right now. Got up to 22 last night before I fell asleep. I like the grab bag of stuff this race throws at you.
