If you're specced into Harvest, every Grove you clear is somewhere between 10-40c. Every time.

Now imagine if there were more/better Harvest recipes. Any other mechanic guarantee 10-40c anytime it simply *EXISTS*? No.

The people asking for it to be removed because it's LESS powerful are braindead and probably don't understand fundamental PoE mechanics in the first place. Wanting it buffed is the natural order of all things video game, but then we'd see juice prices at 4-5x the level and you'd have Harvest as mandatory for everyone on Atlas Passives and then it becomes the Defacto league. They need to just make Oshabi a Master and replace fucking EInhar or something so there's a baseline of Harvests and you can force them sometimes when you want.

That's the number 1 problem I have with this game: selling 'good' items. I watch streamers and they get a good rog item or craft something and they're like "I sold it for 4divs(ex in old leagues)!" That basically never happens for me. I price check everything, put it up for what looks like a competitive price, and... NOTHING. Unless it's 'commodity' type items like temples with good rooms, blueprints, a good unique like an Aegis Aurora, it's just not going to sell. And that's not just this league, that's most leagues.

Combine that with good currency never dropping and it's just really frustrating to play this game sometimes. Like last league I played for weeks, got to the point I had like 800k monsters killed, and I had 2raw EX drop all league. Everything else I got from grinding out temples and selling things in the 10-60 chaos range. I see these assholes talk about how they get 4DIV per hour for this farming strat or that and it's always from selling some good item they got during that hour. So then I'm back to square 1: good items don't sell, so this asshole's entire farming strat is just bullshit.

Sorry for the rant, I just get tired of all of the """strats""" in this game that people tout that are complete horseshit that doesn't work for anyone who's not a streamer.

I know you're not being serious(hey, I thought you weren't playing anymore?!?!), but as detestable as it might be, the economics of this game IS a "git gud" factor. There's also a heavy dose of RNG.

Absolutely. But the git gud factor is more along putting pieces of a puzzle together more then twitch gameplay (although there is a small bit of that).

Knowing cost to power upgrade choices along your path is what separates the people going into maps on a 3 link and writing a essay about what a huge fag they are, and men like Ben who kill Ubers in HC 2nd day.

Yeah, a lot more whiney Redditors are playing/not playing. People who play the game and have played the game continue to play the game.

Also that's Steam numbers which are 1/2 the overall numbers and doesn't count OG Standalone clients. You're look at the newbies sloughing in droves mostly, which is standard for every league. Guess they really couldn't handle that 3 mod Nem rare in Act 4 this time.

So as someone who hasn't really played this game because it's just a retarded amalgamation of systems on systems on systems out of the gate even your post makes no sense to me.

This league already has the lowest player retention numbers on that chart and it's not even half over AND the second closest league was... Archnemesis... which was the biggest complaint I heard from the entire community from day 1 when I was actually trying to learn the game in this league.

Oh I was definitely not being serious. I literally know nothing about this game but all of his complaints seem valid, he just responded to me about my own criticisms in that same fashion and we all like to joke around with each other in that manner. This is the way on FoH.

I don't know if it is actually possible to understand all the various factors of this game's economy in any kind of reasonable "actually just a part time gamer and this isn't my literal job" fashion in this game. I mean.. shit.. I gave up on the game because of the sheer amount of rare mods on items and not being able to wrap my head around....... anything

Sentinel is being hailed as the greatest league of all time and look at it's retention. AND it had worse starting numbers (131k vs 151k compared to this league). So again, these numbers basically are half the data set and mean not much. If there was 0 drop we'd be like "oh shit, this is good!" but otherwise it's all par for the course.

That's about as good as data you're going to get. Something happened and it does coincide with the heavy handedness on Harvest. But the game is kinda old. There's a medium between actual harvest which was too easy and the just right they seemed to hit after. Frankly I still preferred no harvest and something akin to Legion.

I am really liking this Inquisitor RF build but holy shit I need to work on defenses. It peels through content all the way to T16 so far, but occasionally BAM instantly dead.

I suppose, in this game, that is just about every build lol.

Edit - Except Lava Lake. Hopefully I can get lucky with a Vaal and add spawns and can get through it eventually..........

What? Do you not understand the concept of "population" in stats? i'll grant you maybe the steam newbie but I also just lazily played through steam until Legion or so and I was killing UE and rolling 4-5 characters and ending leagues with plenty of currency.

LOL was saying today to my buddy that I've ID'd over a couple hundred synth drops this league and vendored/trashed every, single, one of them.

However, Xevy's point kind of stands. Sentinel was amazing. I think it trended down as well because good meta shakeups (IE the ones that they just make a few old skills "newly" OP) are really what drive retentions (imo, totally anecdotal). Sentinel they didn't shake shit up. But I loved that league.

People that play POE and truly love the game will still play (me). Another thing I was saying is how its crazy how they can fuck up a league this bad (this league truly is awful I will admit). But the core elements that make this great are still there. Its easily the best ARPG out there its not even close. The amount of customization you can push to a build, the sense of progression throughout the game it cannot be matched. Admittedly I haven't played any other ARPG besides D3.

Still, fuck this league but I'm having fun so whatever.
