Predicted that Beyond would be an annoying piece of shit. The Rampage mechanic, on the other hand, seems to barely make a difference. That's not so bad in my opinion -- if they can't think of an original idea for a league, at least make it something that has the decency to not get in the way of shit. I'd much rather have something understated and inconsequential than something that makes gameplay worse.

yeah. rampage is just a silly extra currently leveling..

Pretty sure its maps where it will shine.

Wonder if rampage reflects will be a death sentence..

We need to get at the leader of the RR guild so I can dump some $$$ into it for more stash tabs etc.

Quality on armour is now additive with other bonuses. Previously armour quality was multiplicative with final values. This is now consistent with how weapons work.
Pretty big nerf that was missed in the early patch notes. And has a huge effect on alot of builds.

Seems strange to me, they would make the patches worth even less.. Particularly when they are busy buffing hp values, etc.

Do certain areas/mobs have a chance to not spawn for maps? I'm doing the bandit part in Act 2 and I think I f'd myself. I wound up killing one of them, then allied with another cuz I figured perm res all is good, but now when I go to kill the other two bandits I can't find them in the zone? I've also completely cleared areas and there was no area for the side quest.

No they're just randomly placed in each map. Oak is always in a central area of the zone, Kratyn is always at the end of the main road in broken bridge, Alira is the trickiest, if you follow the main road in Western Forest you'll notice along the road a sort of side path paved in cobble stone. Follow the cobble stone side path to her camp.

All resists is one of the worst bandit choices as it's the most easily replaced by somewhat decent gear.

Depending on your build you'l want flat hp or kill all three for an additional passive point.

yeah. most recommend flat hp every time.
The common point is, that extra passive point will go into a passive hp node anyway... so is the flat 40 hp more or less then that passive point will get you. generally 5% now.
130-150% max hp is normal. so 40 life will be increased via your passives to 92-100 life.
Level 65 will have about 900 life. + 250 gearish? 5% life will be 57 life.

As a summoner I get all 3 skill points, even though I'm Life/ES hybrid. Mainly because my build is about getting to 110 points as soon as possible considering the fact that many notables are needed and far away (MoM EB and Aura nodes in particular)

The sooner I get these passives the less likely I am going to die in HC (Beyond). 40hp isn't as important as getting to MoM 3 points sooner.

I'd be singing a different tune if I were Melee or some version of a Blood Magic build. Where every point of life counts.

Something I can't find an answer to. I know when you reach level 3 with a master, you can claim a hideout based on that master's tileset. What I don't know is can you change that tileset later, and if so, is it free to swap hideout tilesets, or is there a cost. Not sure if I should claim a hideout from the first master I hit 3 with, or hold out to hit 3 with Eleron for the library tileset hideout.

You can switch later. I don't think there's a cost to it from what we've seen.

Herald of ash is kind of awesome (personal sustained buff, 25% reserved baseline, level 1 is adds +15% physical damage as fire to your attacks, when you overkill a mob, it explodes for 100% of the overkill damage as an ignite dot to enemies in the area).

Loving some of the master quests too. Had one that was kind of crazy from Haku, had to escort some spirit through a cave and the cave was collapsing, while mobs kept spawning. It was majorly intense, and we almost died a few times during it. Another quest had to defend some relic through waves of enemies swarming, though it was trivialized somewhat thanks to rampage buffs from kill streaks adding massive explosions, aoe stuns, and summoning swarms of animated weapons.

For my hideout I invited Tora and Eleron so far. Tora is the bow master, so that just fits my ranger's build. Eleron gives special mods that give flat mana reductions to all skills, and from what I read, the mana reduction is applied AFTER discounts from things like reduced mana, including being able to reduce skill costs to 0 if you stack enough of the mod. Seemed like a good fit for a super attack speed archer, since mana sustain can sometimes be a thing. I was going to add Vorici, the socket/link master, but looking through his list, it's 150 fusings for a 5 link, 350 jewelers for a 6 socket, and 285 chromatics to choose 3 custom colors. All of those prices seems extremely too high, since in the past I've been on average able to 6 socket an item within ~80 jewelers, and 5 link within ~100 fusings. Maybe I was just lucky in the past, but I think I'll roll the dice using currency directly for sockets hoping for cheaper results.

Such a good patch so far. Strongboxes rule.

Anyone have any comparisons on how the HP revamp looks compared to the old system? I guess I'm trying to figure out how much HP% via nodes I need to shoot for in hardcore, now that I'm only getting like 4-5% per most common nodes, instead of 8% previously. I'm not sure if I should just go all out survivability nodes still in HC, or if there's actually some room to mix in more DPS and auxilary stuff with the HP buff.

125% Softcore - 150% Hardcore is the consensus.

Beyond league is stupid overtuned right now so going all in on defense is probably a good idea. A Top 10 ladder guy ripped to a fucking ice nova chest in maps. lol..

Apparently there's uproar about the falling rocks and potential bugged situations, I'm a badass and manned through it and got him to lvl 3.

Also Vagan (one of the masters) has a signiature mod on weapons "Hits can't be Evaded"

Joe, are you in the RR guild?

Whats your build right now Sinzar? Can you post it?

Which skills/gems?
My ranger is the character I play duo with a friend, so I'm only 33 so far on it, since he's at work today. This is mycurrent build at 33, and mygoal build by level 75.

Bandits will be oak (40hp) / oak (18% phys) / kraityn (frenzy charge).

Right now I'm using burning arrow / added fire / pierce for single, and split arrow / faster projectiles for AoE. Those links are not optimal, it's simply what I have available. Goal for end-game, right now, is:
Single 4L: Burning arrow, physical projectile damage, faster attacks, added fire, (5L add weap elem dam, 6L add faster projectiles?)
AoE 4L: Split arrow, physical projectile damage, chain, added fire or life on hit if needed
Buffs: Reduced mana, blood rage, herald of ash, grace or hatred, depending on difficulty of content, probably grace most often.

For curses, my duo partner uses elemental weakness, since it's basically the only curse that benefits both of us somewhat (he's a cold caster). For soloing I'd probably just stick enfeeble on cast when dam taken.

I tried tornado shot briefly after getting it from a chest, but I didn't like it much. It did less single target damage than burning arrow, and it has a terrible area radius for aoe. Maybe with the proper links tornado shot is good, not certain. Also Frenzy may be better than burning arrow for single target at the higher levels, I'm keeping a copy leveled in an offhand in case so I can test.
