Now that I know how to make gold its not a problem at all moving forward, and thats how faustus is gonna work anyway, even without the town.

The settlers mechanic, once you know it, is pretty awesome for league starts. If they kept settlers as is and made it core people would love it.
What makes settlers awesome for league starts? And is it intrinsic to the mechanic itself? Or can it be integrated into a less shit mechanic?

The shipments and gambling work really, really well early for gearing and getting socketed stuff etc. Makes the initial gear progression curve way easier.

I can see that. I vaguely remember shipments being useful...I think I got my first 6L from it? I didn't really test out gambling, gold was pretty tight early on.

But neither of those are intrinsic to settlers. Hell, they had gambling in the previous kalguur league. If they can take that useful stuff and not attach it to Farmville, that'd be great.

I'd feel better about something like core Settlers if they went and jacked up the gold rewards for all the different activities that handed out basically zero.

This is actually a perfect time for baby's first SSF run. You already know the mechanics and the strats. Can play the game without relying on/complaining about trade.
