I have 7 ex and 800+ chaos(I got really lucky on drops, a mirror shard and inspired learning dropped) if anyone needs an infusion of cash to finish up the flashback.

Played WOrb for the event, definitely ready to move onto something else. It's a meta for a reason but the flashback was actually good for showing its weaknesses. On a fully sextanted elder UGS, the skill starts fall behind as you're dealing with more targets than it can handle, even with boosted AoE, dying sun, and trickster levels of cast speed. Double Beyond was making me really cautious as I would frequently have 2 Beyond bosses out while still trying to clean up a Harbinger or Perandus chest.

Obviously, these are special event only levels of mobs, but it does show that the skill has a limit. Molten Strike, for example, would have handled these situations much better.

WOrb is also kinda retarded on Uber Elder. Most of the time it would target the right monster. But if you got a chaos-shitting octopus out during the add phase, good luck killing him before his shits out some degen. Still did the fight deathless, but it wasn't as easy as ED/Contagion/Blight, which wasn't my expectation.

I’ll go for the aura this time. Still hoping trickster or occultist survive without too much of a nerf bat hitting. Don’t have much hope because they really seem to like to try to force a meta.

Alternate starters are jugg or chief tectonic slam.

I also doubt they're nerfing trickster, as that ascendancy has basically no synergy with any of the new stuff that's been revealed. I'm wondering if Memory Vault is going to cost double digits in exalts on HC this time around, due to what that lets you do with the new Molten Shell.

Trickster could fit with Cyclone pretty well, especially if they don't do anything to the conversion chaos meta.

Considering Memory Vault works against MoM, I'm not sure that's going to be as good as you think it will.

You run CI mana guardian with the new modified keystone that gives you armor equal to double your maximum mana. So you now have around 60k armor and can CWDT a 12k damage absorb shield on a short CD, and that's on top of a >20k energy shield pool. Shove Incandescent Heart in there and I don't see how you can ever die.

Most likely I’ll go soulrend or vortex. Trying to dodge the pricey melee stuff at start then roll that later to dick around.

Does anyone run mana guardian as a solo class?

Where are you getting the numbers for new Molten Shell?

This doesn't address my point of Memory Vault working against MoM.

Molten Shell now grants armour while active and a damage barrier that absorbs 75% of damage taken. The maximum damage that it can absorb is based on 20% of your total armour, making it a powerful choice for high Armour characters. It also lasts slightly longer than Steelskin. When Molten Shell absorbs its maximum damage or when the duration ends, all of the absorbed damage is dealt as reflected damage in an area around you, with a large damage multiplier.

I'm honestly not sure what you mean about memory vault working against MoM, CI characters get no benefit from MoM anyways. This character will want to put the new node conversion jewel in the jewel slot next to Quick Recovery in order to swap out MoM and EE for potentially useful keystones anyways. Mana Guardian typically goes through MoM just to get the mana nodes behind it despite getting no benefit from MoM, so now they can do that and pick up a keystone that does something.

If you reserve your mana for Memory Vault, you can't absorb as much damage with MoM, that's all. I didn't know your hypothetical was CI only. But again, does anyone run mana guardian as a solo class?

I can see how on SC the low DPS would turn people off mana Guardian but it's pretty popular on HC. Memory Vault was already going for 2-3 exalts on HC in Synthesis league.

I'm thinking of ED/Contagion/Blight(seems so good for league mechanic!) Trickster for league start even though I played that last league and this is the melee league. I might have to kick myself out of the guild.

There's almost too much, even for someone like me that CRAVES this kind of shit, to figure out before launch. Starting as melee is almost going to feel like buyer's remorse.
