November would make the most sense. The holiday demand will be huge. Doing it after Christmas would be as stupid as requiring always-on DRM.

I feel like Christmas is going to be like that movie Jingle All the Way. The PS4 will be the turboman and the Xboner will be the shitty partner Booster. Nobody wants Booster.

Just wait for Anonymous to DDOS attack the MS servers. Maybe Microsoft will have a 3 month "down" window the same way Sony's PSN did. It would be amusing if it were from launch though. People never get a chance to play their new systems.

I think it's an foregone conclusion. We know that the hacking groups of the world have the ability to shut down a server... it's just a matter of when they decide to target Microsoft. It might be a great launch event, just to really get under MS's skin and force them to remove the daily authentication from their system. Time will tell. I really just anticipate this actually happening as a "fuck you" to the corporate America they love to hate so much.
