She’s a well written female character. I had a good LOL when she made the guy she shot move away from the fridge.

Just binged Season 3 in one night. I've read 14 of Lee Child's Reacher novels and Persuader is one of the most intense ones. The TV version was not as intense and/or frightening, but it still kicked some serious ass.

I loved season 1. Wasn't so fond of season 2, but they nailed season 3!

Quite a few change-ups from the novel, but they did the character justice. Alan Ritchson rocks it as Reacher. I hope they make all 22 novels into series before he gets too old to play the part.

My only issues with the show are things that would be really hard to do from the books. Especially Reachers demeanor isn't exactly the same. In the books he doesn't talk anywhere as much, it is all internal dialogue. His physical presence does a lot of his talking. He's also not as witty/funny or as brutal portrayed on the show. However, the show is about as good an adaption as you can get.

Just finished up season 3, much better than season 2 for me. I would keep watching these just because they are silly and over the top. It is a good 'to have on' show that I don't have to worry about missing anything important.

I really thought the kid was going to have a moment to shine by punching someone on two like Reacher told him. Ah well, guess there is a limit to the amount of camp to fit in.

I hate to admit this, but Neagley might be the best character in the show.
Yeah I like her character as well. The character is great with Reacher as they have a similar thought process.

I enjoyed the season enough. It feels like watching an 80's detective show with a large budget and a large main character. I still preferred the way they did the movies using a small physic that seemed harmless, but an overpowering brute that seems dumb, works about as well. Nobodies first thought when looking at Reacher would be to think "Genius". So that ends up throwing the criminals off.

Its a nice fun show even if a smart person would have really made sure the bigger guy was dead.

Apparently she is... Danish?

Some of the gun stuff in the finale bothered me in this episode that I haven't noticed in earlier episodes. During the fight at the warehouse Reacher is walking around with his machine gun sideways like a cartoon of a gangster rapper. Then his "I'm smarter" moment was a bit of a stretch. The idea that he could have shoved a shell into the barrel of the machine gun in the middle of a fight with the other guy not noticing and then be so confident that it would kill the bad guy and not hurt him that he just stands there and lets the guy shoot at him is kind of ridiculous. Then when he's carrying the shotgun around he works the pump every time the camera is on him and at least once it seemed like he clearly ejected a shell that hadn't been fired.

Not a big deal but it was pretty silly in an area where they have done a pretty good job prior to this.

the really funny thing I found there was, no one heard the the machine gun go off. yet, suddenly the shotgun alerts everyone.

Oh and when he is hung up by the chain hoist he pulls the bolts out of the beam on a device that's probably made to have like 8,000 lbs hanging from it which no one could do unless the beam was totally rotten and would result in him falling on his head and the hoist landing on him when he could have just unhooked the chain and climbed down.

I know we're not supposed to think much about this stuff but that was pretty wacky.

Or worse. The actor already stated publicly on Gym and Fridge episode that Amazon told him to bulk up. It's a PR disaster if there is a health issue while the show is still running since nobody from Reacher production told him to bulk up.

The actress is attractive but the show makes her more rough. They have done a decent job with portraying women power lvls

I enjoyed it. It straddles the line between absurdity and bad assery. It takes itself way too seriously and has a lot of unintentional humor and that's what makes it fun.

I did get really pissed off at the closing though. It had some crappy song I've never heard before that rips off one of my favorite songs.

God damn it.

Now I'm tearing up listening to this again.

RIP Shannon.

binged through the season, way better than season 2 which was a bit of a dumpster fire but still not amazing TV. Fun enough to watch once and never touch again i guess. I like the plots are back to smaller time stuff, Reacher is mostly solo with some short term partners which is all the show should be.

main bad guy (Quinn) was great, just pure psycho who always seemed to do the expedient/easy move instead of trying to be a Bond villain. His main henchman, the fucking goddamn giant, was great since he barely talked and just looked huge.

Reacher walking around is weird, I guess someone above posted how he must be roided out cuz thats what it seems like when he walks, he can't even bend his arms lol I see some big arm guys walking the same way around the gym.

the biggest issue is the casting, normally I don't really care about that shit but the acting was terrible this season. The white haired mansion owner/dad guy was terrible, he reminded me of this guy from Justified who was way creepier and scarier

the cops were all terrible actors (that boston accent.. sheesh), the french maid shoulda been in more and naked but barely in it, all the henchmen were bad actors.

on the plus side this is one of amazons most watched TV shows, i assume it handily beats out rings of power, and with the girlboss of amazon TV fired this week hopefully it means they have figured out nobody gives a shit about girl boss shows

Amazon has some of the most stringent DEI requirements of all streaming services which is why it was so hard to get Games Workshop to sign off on the TV show, leaving it down to the last minute literally.

I wouldn't really expect anything to change from replacing an exec.
