ok so out of boredom and with nothing else to watch I continued past the first 5 minutes of episode 1 and got to the part where it's revealed it wasn't completely shit out of character writing, it was all just a setup.
This is actually the over the top 12 year old power fantasy bad writing of a smart character we've come to expect from this series, not retards making a smart character retarded because that's what they think smart looks like, that was initially presented.

I wasn't going to subject myself to watching something else that was great be ruined but the last couple of posts have me convinced to at least try it out. I used to love this dude, mental illness and all but he just crazy. Plays a good Reacher, though.

I don't remember him straight up murdering people quite so much in the first two seasons, did he in the book? I'm only a few episodes in but he is kind of killing these guys in cold blood, not even self defense. They deserve it and all that, but for a guy who used to be a cop he seems morally flexible.

really starting to hate this "genre" of fight scenes.
On one hand it's "Ok lets be all stealthy and shit" but on the other its "lets think of more and more convoluted ways to kill people taking bigger and bigger risks for no fucking reason"
Just sneak up behind people and slit their throats. if they have a gun and are going to fight/struggle/fire off multiple rounds while you kill them in some dumb ass "creative" way then why not just sneak up behind them and shoot them in the head? Don't even need to be point blank rage get within 10 feet and shoot them. you aren't worried about the sound of the gun shots giving away your position as you garrote a guy and use a wench to slowly choke him to death, why not fucking shoot him instead?
