on epi5 atm. honestly I don't find this season as bad as some of previous.
yeah, the writing can be real spotty. like, they do good at the start with the records, and cop killing. its easy to pick out, "thats odd for Reacher. " "why would he have records, he lives on the road."
but then yeah... have the russian roulette interview in the room with Theresa.. doing Russian roulette at all. firing the gun, no one comes to check out why.
keeping the driver cuffed to a chair in their cabin for like a week. on an inexplicably spikey chair. what even the fuck is this stupidity?
Swimming in the ocean. not being wet, or smelling like you swam in the ocean. climbing in and out on the rocks, not even the beach. you have ANY idea how much force the water slams up against the rocks with?
Maine>hartford>maine>new london>maine. its a 2-3hour drive from hartford to the maine border. Maine itself is a 4 hour drive on the highway from start to finish.
they are constantly going back and forth as if its a 20 minute drive, not a 3-6 hour drive one way...
The first and best special operators was a black woman. also, the idea of Reacher actually verbally describing that entire flash back. haha. "and so, lt so and so, stared longingly at Kohl, as he asked if she liked to dance"
everyone in his crew dying, and this guy not changing plans seems odd as well. probably needed to spend more time on character. show his ego. this character is pretty much the same as Marty in Ozark. need to establish him, thinking he can talk, or think his way out of this. as is, you'd think Halls character would be looking to bail. his men are dead. his kid was attacked again. boss is going to kill him. he should be looking to liquidate and flee. instead of just inexplicably trusting/depending on Reacher.

I thought the finale was acceptable by Hollywood standards (we need the two of them to have a knockdown fight, and the rest of the protagonists to have hero moments!), but I also don't think I'll bother with Season 4 unless reviews indicate a distinct upswing from this season.

Pretty sure based on the writing and plots we get so far that "running out of source material" is not a concern.
Just by flipping through Schwarzenegger, Sly Stallone Rambo, and James Bond movies they can slap together another pulp season based on absolutely nothing.

She wasn't in many of the books, they seem to find a way to shoehorn her in as I'm guessing test groups feel like you do. I like her char too.
