US/NATO/EU/Soros Lizardmen flipped Ukraine out of the Russian sphere of influence without military conflict and 100,000s of deaths. Russia can't get it back without military conflict and 100,000s of deaths. Seems like Soft vs Hard Power to me.

Russia could end the war by leaving Ukrainian territory.
Russia does have a surprisingly weak military propped up by Soviet legacy tech like nukes and cruise missiles.
Russia hasn't advanced since Bakhmut which did take a long time.
There have been pretry much no border changes in The West since the WW2 era.
Black Sea Ports have no strategic value when you have to sail the ships through a narrow chokepoint controlled by the enemy alliance.
What the fuck guys? You can support Russia but you don't need to interpret every event as a Russian win. Not a single Ukraine thread regular has admitted to a single Russian mistake or setback ever.

The West doesn't need anything from the scenario.
Ukraine isn't going to magically become an economic powerhouse because of direct rule.
Blowing up Ukrainians and NATO reserve equipment isn't going to magically make the Russian military more powerful than the American one.
I don't need anything from this either, it's an amusing distraction while I travel home from work and now I getting back to Cyberpunk 2.0 on my sofa.
You need Russia to win though and will be in the command centre reposting propaganda.
