Me-- *Calls Comcast to downgrade TV service and complain about modem not working properly*
Comcast: "Yes I can downgrade your service no problem, you will need to trade in your boxes though for different ones and you will need to pick up a duel band modem from our service center. "
Me: Yeah I can do that, the package I want needs to have Nickelodeon.
Comcast: Sur eI can get you on our Blast Plus, that will give you that channel plus allow you to keep your 100mb connection.
Me: 100mb connection? When did this happen? I only pull 42mb
(They explain there is signal loss somewhere and a new modem is also needed, these two issues once resolved will fix my speed issue)
Me: Okay so I just go in there and swap it all out and all is well?
Comcast: Yes
**Unhooks all equipment, goes and waits in line at store for 45 minutes. Get to front desk**
Comcast: Yeah we don't carry that modem in center, only techs have it
Me: *eye twitch* "Oooookay....can i have my cable boxes and have a tech deliver my modem Monday?"
(go home, set up boxes, nothing works. Call Comcast they get it up and running after on the phone with them for an hour)
(My son wants to watch Nickelodeon)
**TV Screen -- unauthorized channel**
*eye twitch* (calls Comcast)
Comcast: "Yeah that's weird, let me reset that for you." (Doesn't fix it) "Okay I'll need to do a full system reset, it'll take 45minutes and that will fix it."
(calls back an hour later after still same issue, tech says they will do something different and they wll call me back in half an hour)
(Take son to his Birthday party,never got phone call, come home and sit down, channel still not working. Calls Comcast)
Comcast: "Yeah, that channel isn't included with your package"
*eye twitch*
Comcast: "sir, are you there?"
(explains that this is literally the only channel I requested to have and was assured I would have it, talked to two previous techs who never informed me I didn't have it when trying to figure out why I didn't.)
Comcast: "Well I can upgrade your package to more channels but it will slow down your internet to 25mb"
(I explain to them that having more channels doesn't seem logical nor indicative to having a slower speed.)
Comcast: "Well I can upgrade your internet to and it'll only cost $185 per month"
Me: "I was paying $160 before I did all this..."
Comcast: "Well you will be getting HBO for free for 2 years with this package along with Showtime"
*eye twitch*
Me: I need to talk to a supervisor please. Thank you.
Comcast: "They have access to the same systems, they will not be able to do anything for you at this point"
Me: That's great, I would still like to speak to one thank you.
