My only complaint is that with this being a slow burn I can't immediately push play on the next episode.

Yeah, going to have to wait for most episodes to drop before diving back in to season 2. It’ll probably take us that long to rewatch season 1 anyways.

Apparently I should've watched some kind of recap first because I have no fucking clue what any of that was about.

Hah. We moved straight from season 1 to season 2. I had totally blanked on a lot of season 1 stuff since the 1st watch through. Wife was hooked. Expected it to take a lot longer but she wanted to keep going.

Could be a good start. It is such a strange Better Off Ted + Dollhouse + whatever show.

There's an entire YouTube genre for recaps before next seasons. One of the best is Recap and Chill:

It's too late now but next season I'm waiting until it's all out. I got to watch S1 at my own pace but now that we're at one episode a week I have discovered I don't like one episode a week.

I'm watching one episode at a time. I can't help but think it's not only smarter to wait and watch the entire season, but also wait until the entire show is concluded and only watch it if people say it has a good ending.

Because you know there's a good chance they keep adding mystery until they run out of viewership interest then wrap it up in a retarded way like Lost.

Adam Scott wakes up in the end in a garage and this whole thing was the dream that gave him the idea for The Cones of Dunshire

I can do that for something mediocre, but this show's too good to just sit there and wait knowing there are episodes available.

I've been doing this a lot.

Waiting until at least 3 seasons in to start something. Or until it's over and then seeing if people still say it's good after it's over. I waited years to watch Mr. Robot, but people were still talking about it years later and it was worth watching.

However, Severance S1 was so good and I'll probably just rewatch all of S1 and then watch all of S2 once it's over.

Is it though?

These first two episodes have left me very underwhelmed.

I thought episode one of season one was a slog but when it was done I could just push play on the next one.

For this season episode one felt more like an epilogue (for the innies) with episode two being an epilogue (for the outies) rather than being the start of a brand new season. We spent two out of ten episodes for this season on getting everyone back in to place so we could start moving forward again. It reminds me of much worse shows that would build to a fever pitch for the finale to then hit the brakes at the start of the next season to make sure we didn't get too much story. After we've fucked around for a while we can start moving the build again.

Like I said, next season I'm just waiting until it's done.

To each their own. It grabbed me well enough. Looking forward to seeing what shenanigans outie Helly/Helena pulls by infiltrating the severed crew.

I finished Silo last night and decided to give this a try next. Sadly I’m done after 2 episodes where I really struggled to get through both.

The concept is interesting and good performance by the cast, but fuck it’s boring and after 2 episodes I care nothing about any of these characters and the situation they are in.

The other thing that bugs me is going to sound a little weird but the interaction between all the he characters feel like extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Especially on the outside everyone Mark interacts with just feel awkward.

Anyways, didn’t enjoy this at all which is disappointing since I heard so many good things about it.

The awkwardness is the point. I promise it pays off, but yes, it's a tense and slow burn.
