Pretty sure the jail they are in is the one in the bottoms, not on level 2. It certainly doesn't look like the same cell the people sent outside are put in.
Now that you mention it the long hair cop guy was the one talking to them so you’re probably right. Makes sense. Doesn’t change the other complaints but it clears that up.

I feel like either I am the only one watching this, or it just hasn't been good enough to warrant posts. I did think EP4 was decent, finally some answers and plot moving

I’ve been watching and enjoying the show, but honestly, not much has happened so far. That said, the latest episode definitely felt like things are heating up. I also thought the judge would be smarter than that…

Regarding the silos and their purpose, it feels like some sort of experiment being conducted by an unknown group or individual. Whoever they are, it seems like they’re planting seeds of doubt to incite these rebellions, which apparently have been happening for generations.

I agree. I assume she quit being his shadow based on what she learned about the book The Order which is the playbook of evil, only to fall victim to it.
Kind of steamed people who don't want to go out get sent out and those who do get prevented. Bernard must die. Also steamed people think 2 people walked in murdered someone and walked out past 50 guards and thought that in that time under that security could have even possibly done it.
Of course her largest mistake was thinking after what happened the last time that he was going to allow her to ever do it anyways and walk with a good suit.

So far its way less interesting than season 1. I haven't read the books but the Solo character is absolutely worthless and slows everything down. Her entire time in the other silo hasn't amounted to anything really.

I know some people didn't like the opening flashback that showed the rebellion, but it makes some of the 'bad' characters more morally gray. Usually the uprising group is portrayed as the good guys - but they are actively working towards killing everyone. The IT guys aren't much better, so its hard to say how it will all play out.

It still doesn't make sense to me why they have to keep everyone in the dark so much. If everyone knew the truth then most would probably choose to stay.

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths they go through to deviate from the source material. Whether it is this, Game of Thrones, Wheel of Time, Patriot Games, whatever. In the case of Silo there was a rather straightforward story across the three books that, yeah, had time jumps and ins-and-outs. But they’ve deviated so far from the books and added so much unnecessary plot and characters, it has really dragged the TV show down.

Why invent characters completely only to kill them off for nothing? Why run the Solo character? What the hell is even going on now in the other Silo after 6 episodes?

Season 1 felt strong and interesting despite the changes. Season 2 just feels likes a mess. And the blueprint was there the whole time to just more or less follow.

Solo is a fair bit different in the show from what I recall. The dynamic between him and Juliette was much different in the books.

The storyline with Solo and Juliette is really the only part of the show that I am enjoying this season. The rest of it is not interesting.

Everyone I know stopped watching it. Maybe they'll pick it back up for a binge. I dropped off around Ep 4.

It's tough to slot this season in over other shows. Not really about Silo S2 being bad necessarily. Just doesn't get priority this time around.

I'm watching Deadwood again and just got done with the first four seasons of The Expanse, so maybe something like that is what he means.

This season feels incredible slow and I don't care at all about the mcsteamy rebellion and romance. This could've been 2 episodes instead of an entire fuckin season

Episode 7 did what I said the first two should've been, where they cut between a scene at each silo.

Sadly, by the time episode 7 rolled around, I've kind of stopped giving a shit about what happens in the Solo storyline. And like you, I also don't give much of a shit about this rebellion. It's another show that's semi-mystery box and decides that instead of giving us any answers it'll just stack more mysteries on top while introducing 50 new characters for you to not give a shit about.

Lazy writing. Episode 8 had one of those things where I'm just like, how bad of a writer are you that this is what you came up with? It was a scene that just made me annoyed with the whole episode.

It was where all the "rebel leaders" are in Walkers workshop, and for some reason they're pitching her the idea that they need to go steal medical supplies. Why are they pitching this to her? Every actor was acting deferential to her as if she was the leader of the whole movement. And then all we get to hear about is why it's a bad idea because her former lesbian lover she hasn't seen or spoken to in 3 decades is the most important thing ever. It was obviously setting up for the decision later in the episode, but in the context of everything that's happened made literally zero sense. None of the characters were acting within the bounds of how their character acted prior to the scene, and it established completely different group dynamics from what we've seen already.

Just...bad.

Think I need to just read the books this series is going way too slow at this point it’s like being edged for so long you finally start to lose interest.

That said I liked episode 9, but it made me want to just get the books and finish the entire trilogy before episode 10 comes out.

I made that mistake with Game of Thrones. Turns out reading the books made me just find a new person to resent (GRRM) and get disappointed that the show couldn't capture it all.

The Juliet storyline has been far too stretched out this season. Nice to get a little payoff, and her obvious return to the OG Silo at the very end of next episode will be cool… but sidelining the best character and actress for an entire season was less than ideal.

This has been my only complaint.. Juliet was effectively relegated to a side character story. However, overall, I've really enjoyed the season. I never felt bored, and I enjoy the mystery surrounding the purpose of the silo(s).

They were easy reads. Pretty sure I knocked all 3 out middle of Season 1. Don’t think we’ve watched an episode of Season 2 since ep6 and really don’t feel any need to with how far they’ve deviated in order to add zero value to the story.
