I think the Sony Xperia Z2 is going to be on Verizon also, but not sure about a release date and haven't really looked in to it vs. the other current offerings.

The Sony Xperia Z1 was a gorgeous looking phone, with an amazing 20mp camera. I wasn't ready to take the leap into the bigger screen size though, but they have a "mini" version coming out eventually that has the same guts, just smaller screen size.

I'm an iPhone guy now though.

FedEx just delivered my Dot View case for the M8. This'll be fun to play with for a couple of days but probably not much more than that.

There's a 3rd party Verizon store right down the street from me with some good peeps there, I'll check them out. I'll be looking at the M8, S5, and Note 3. Any others? Not going to get the LG G2 when the G3 is coming up so soon. Not a fan of LG either.
I didn't really talk it up, but I love my Note 3. Best phone I've ever owned, and I've owned several other Samsungs and HTC phones. (S2, S3, S4, HTC Evo, Evo 3D). The battery in the Note is crazy good. I left my phone on streaming Spotify via bluetooth to an external speaker for 8 hours straight last weekend during a party, and my battery dropped from 78% to 71% during those 8 hours. I love the larger size, I can still reach the entire screen with my thumb, holding it with one hand no problem, but I'm also not a small person. I don't mind the 1 physical home button at all. I honestly don't ever use the stylus, I just wanted the Note 3 mainly due to the size. Much easier to read websites, I don't have to use the shitty mobile version of sites to be able to see them, full desktop-version of websites are just fine without even zooming(especially turned sideways in Landscape). I haven't measured exactly, but landscape viewing on my Note 3 feels real similar to non-landscape viewing on my Nexus 7" tablet, it's damn near the same screen width.

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I am done with Samsung. They are the best selling because their advertising budget is 14 BILLION dollars a year. Their phones are plastic and crapped up to the max. My last phone was a Samsung and it was a piece of shit. I would definitely go HTC right now. Motorola X would be my second choice but it's getting a little long in the tooth. My LG G2 has great battery life and a beautiful screen plus a good camera, but I have had trouble with it (first one the headphone jack died and the GPS doesn't work on the warranty replacement which I haven't gotten around to sending back yet). Kind of makes me wish I had waited another month and gotten the M8 but my GNex was dying quickly. If you aren't in a hurry, Google IO is the end of June and there will probably be an announcement about either a new Nexus or some "android silver" devices or possibly an upgrade to the Moto X around that time.

As much as I love my Note 3, I have also been slowly migrating away from Samsung. I moved my wife over to the LG G2 phone from her S3, and I've had a Samsung LCD monitor and a Samsung LCD TV both die on me in the last couple years within 3-4 years of purchase. I replaced the monitor with a different brand, and all of my TVs are now LG(50" Plasma and 55" LED). I'm really liking LG and their products. The TVs are phenomenal, and my wife's G2 phone is great so far(she's only had it a month or so). I don't think Samsung is anywhere near the quality that their products used to be 5-10 years ago, but boy, they still price their products like they are. My LG televisions were about 40-50% less than comparable Samsung models.

I love my Note 2 but mostly for the screen size. The One plus looks pretty good at 299$. No wireless charging but I can survive if everything else on it is good and has no bloatware.

Heh, Brut - I've not gone on a rant about it - but definitely feel the same way. It might be apparent from how I do try to mention GS5 for "fairness" and give it a fair shot but still crap on it in the end.

Don't get me wrong, Samsung did make some great phones in the past, but now they're just coasting on the name mostly. Every time I see a GS5 on the street, I just shake my head in dismay. It annoys me to no end that I've seen at least a dozen shitty GS5's walking around, but yet to see a M8 besides the wife's and mine.

Hell, all last year I only ever saw a single M7 even. (Just for a longer window - I do expect M8 to destroy M7's popularity)

I don't own a Samsung but I knew I wouldn't be buying one of their phones after today. I have a friend who busted up his S4 screen and asked me for help because the repair place wanted $250 to fix it. I looked around and the cheapest screen/digitizer I could find was $200. Same part for my N4, $75.

Yeah, my wife has an S3 and has had nothing but problems with it. Horrible battery life, app issues galore, terrible texting experience, etc. I wish Nokia would get smart and dump Windows Mobile. Their hardware is fucking amazing and I've never had a better phone experience than with my 920, but as a guy who doesn't really need the office integration, it's a pretty worthless ecosystem.

If I were to buy an Android phone tomorrow I honestly feel like I'd go with the OnePlus One. Thing looks legit and that price is unbeatable.

And of course Verizon doesn't support the factory unlocked M8. God damnit, I want my cake and eat it too.

What is the best MVNO for Verizon's networks? I need 4G and their converage... without their faggotry.

Depending on the specs of the Note 4, I will probably jump ship to a OnePlus (if available on Sprint...which I don't think it will be) or the LG G3. LG's G2 was a damn good phone and the G3 is shaping up to be even better.
