I always have a strong cell signal here, and it swaps wi-fi pretty seamlessly. I do have an issue with the bluetooth lagging a bit occasionally and dropping my wireless earplugs occasionally, but I assume that's an issue on the earplugs' end. /shrug

I've not had any of those issues myself on Project Fi.

Edit: I didn't have a chance to read the post real thoroughly but what radio is on your phone? What release of Android?

OK bros I got my 6p now I need help with chargers/cables. The only USB-C cable/charger I have is what came with it. I need pointed at some decent ones that won't break the bank to scatter about the house. Also are there adapters to go from C to micro so I don't have to buy a new power bank? If not, I need pointed at a new power bank. I quite like my $12 Lumsing one but there's no C version.

Fuck it, ordered the Anker PowerCore+. Good reviews, and having a 2nd bank won't be a bad thing even if I do find adapters.

Monoprice USB C cables OK? I'm scared after all the stories from that one Google bro reviewing Amazon cables that didn't pass muster.

I just went through the same thing, very happy w/ my purchases.

I ordered adapters, but they didn't make it in my Amazon box, need to ping them about that still.

I got this case, which I don't normally put on phones, but love this thing already:Amazon.com: Nexus 6P Case, Spigen [Rugged Armor] Resilient [Black] Rugged Armor Ultimate protection and rugged design with matte finish for Nexus 6P (2015) - Black (SGP11797) ...: Cell Phones Accessories

In a moment of weakness I almost bought a $25 USBC cable at fucking Walmart. Glad I waited, and got these:Amazon.com: AUKEY USB-C to USB 3.0 Braided Nylon Cable - 3.3-Feet (1 Meter) (3 Pack): Computers Accessories

And because I can, got a different charger for my truck -Amazon.com: Type C Car Charger, Maxboost 35W with Quick Charge 2.0 Technology+Built-in Type-C (3.1) USB C Adapter Charging Cable for Nexus 5X 6P, MacBook 12 Accessories

These are the USB-C cables I bought:Amazon.com: Inateck USB C Cable Type C USB 3.1 Solid Conversion Data Cable USB-C to USB A 3.0 for Nexus 6P, Nexus 5x, LG G5, OnePlus 2, Black-grey Nylon,1m: Computers Accessories

They make it really easy to distinguish from my old usb cables that I use to charge my kindle and shit with. I have that Spigen too case and I love it. It's not bulky and it does the job.

I just switched over to Fi today and singal so far seems to be pretty good so far. I love my 6P and that fingerprint reader is a godsend. I don't think I can have a phone without one now. It's in the perfect spot too for me.

Smartphone discussion goes here.

The new Nexus phones can't come soon enough. I'm tempted to replace my OPO with a 6P so I can give Fi a shot, but I want to actually be responsible and wait for official word on the price for the new Nexus. Plus if I don't like them I imagine the 6P will get even better discounts by then.

Note 7 reveal goes out in 3 days, but there are plenty of leaks around. That will be my new phone, replacing my aging Xperia Z2.

I haven't had a Samsung since the S3 days and they've made a lot of progress. I'm looking forward to the Good Lock app that has gotten a lot of praise from techies. Those of you with a Samsung should check it out.

New Jailbreak out for later model iPhones. Caveat emptor as some people are reporting that they've been hacked as a result of installing it. Highly unlikely given who is involved, but you never do know. Note that this one does not require a restore of a fresh .ipsw and can be done even on over-the-air updated phones.

https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/wiki/ios933jailbreakhelp - pertinent information.
http://en.pangu.io/ - the jailbreak itself.

/r/jailbreak has a bunch of threads on the purported hacking as well, but so far, it looks like these are just morons who have been pwned somewhere else. Time will tell.

I've been on a droid since the first one. Currently on the turbo 2 (also rolled about 800 of these out to my business). I really like the idea of the Note 7, and will probably get a couple demo units to play with when they are available. Not sure if I will survive without the Moto Display, which is hands down the best approach to notification screens.

Crossposting from the new site, because who knows, maybe this site won't get boned. Never know.

Just got the Note 5 last year, and am praying that Verizon does some kind of pre-order deal, or something. Goal is to trade in Note 5 for $300 (probably have to be a promo deal to get that much), and therefore keep my monthly payments the same on my Verizon bill. I dropped my Note 5 in the toilet (after flushing) a month after getting it, and I've been suspicious of the damage caused by that ever since.
