FWIW, comments over on SOE's forums and MMORPG's comments, in addition to the already mentioned Reddit comments, were also very pro-Dave. Feeling more like RR is the outlier in thinking Dave is stupid.

To me if you (Nova) believes SoE has been poorly managed or whatever, Georgeson isn't the only one to blame. In my opinion, if Dave goes then Smed should go as well. I never really cared much for him anyway. There has been times I thought he was a really douche though he was quite good with the H1Z1 rollout.

EQ2 Developer Layoffs: Lyndro, Endymion, Gnobrin

Sitting in a room, getting laid off with some of the brightest and most talented developers I've had the pleasure to work with.

No idea what comes next, but if history holds true I'm sure that it will be fun.
