After the disappointment that was Index s1 I can't bring myself to catch up enough, or to watch Railgun s1 in order to then watch Railgun S. Is it really worth it?
haven't watched index and didn't even know there was a Railgun S "prequel". i would recommend you watch this weeks episode (#5) and see if you like it. ep1-4 aren't as bloody as this one (by far), but imho are not bad either.

titan is monthly... so you'd be waiting for a bit, but... if you do read manga, then you're used to waiting anyway and i think it's 40ish chapters so far? (monthly chapters so a bit longer) I wouldn't recommend it though, i think they animate the anime so well, especially with the 3D gears, it's a real treat to watch, like the way mikasa took down the titan, you really get a sense of her S rank compared to all the other A ranks (anime ratings if you don't know).
It's a fun show. Some people don't like it, but I am enjoying the main characters being a group of misfits. Not every show needs to be lead by a badass! The characters are steadily improving too.
It got a lot better after they showed the characters had personality. Blue haired kid got the shaft though, apparently his quirk is having irritable bowel syndrome.

Not even sure where to begin, but Index is a pretty amazing series. Railgun is good too but you can tell they are pretty different in the sense that Railgun has maybe half of the action/fighting of Index. The manga on Index is also pretty deep with lore surrounding Touma and all of those crazy religious fanatics.

Yeah, I'm actually enjoying the pace they are taking with Titan. It's working out well, and damn that anime can seriously portray the whole utter hopelessness thing to the letter.
I've read a few more chapters into the manga, but still at times watching it, I still find myself thinking, "shit, you guys are fucked."

started watching hataraku maou-sama , except for one thing- nothing to do with the show, anyone know where i can get a GOOD sub for it?
i've tried both commie deadfish and FFF and so far the quality has been shit, i can play anything i download via horriblesubs perfectly on my tablet, but hataraku plays like SHIT.
skipping audio, etc etc. i am using a nook tablet with mx video player.. like i said 720p videos plays perfectly, usually.

I agree, the regular ones are more disturbing than the armored / cannibal ones. I blame it onuncanny valley.

commie has always had bad subs, lots of tearing... can it be fixed by re-encoding? i use formatfactory(it's free and the best imo free or paid) to re-encode anime to ipad for the wife, cuz you know ipad sucks that way, maybe you can try that out. the only o ther sub group you haven't tried is sore.
