IIRC Commie switched to exclusively 10bit high ages ago. None of the hardware acceleration works on it, so it will run like shit on things with weak CPU. This is a problem that's spreading pretty fast though, the number of 8 bit releases is shrinking.

ff also does 10bit but between the two places, the FF is significantly more playable.

I don't know if it is relevant to the nook version of the MX app, but I had similar problems using MX player for a while on my phone despite the supposed support for 10 bit until I went in and changed the settings and told it to use software decoder. After that it has been running smoothly.

no idea what it is with commie, but i got majestic prince (and other commie subs)and it plays like crap on my tablet, however i think it is the codec they use for encoding-it is not h264 apparently-, upon recommendation above, i got format factory, recoded it into hi quality mkv using their .264 codec(quadrupling the size of the file) and it runs PERFECTLY on my tablet- except it did not transfer over the subtitles for some reason which is what i am working on now. i got mkvtools and extracted the subtitles from the original and put it into the recoded mkv.
btw liked that first episode though it played like crap, got episodes 2-5 recoded and am about to view to see if it worked to get the subtitles back into the mkv.
edit- just started playing the recoded episode 2 the subtitles are working perfectly along with the h264 recode...
Titan- awesome. just watch episode 7 the one where the new titan that rescued the girl showed up. my theory on the show:

i have never read the manga/story but my theory is titans are an experiment gone wrong, the collosal and armored titans are other "soldier" types that were made- no idea how the vanish like that etc.
titans are formed by...them eating humans, eren was given shots etc by his father- if i rememeber correctly, i think he was "prepped" to become a new soldier developed to fight titans. she also was prepped...

It probably plays like crap on your tablet because all Commie subs are 10 bit. Either your tablet isn't powerful enough to run it or you're using a player that can't do it.
If your hardware isn't powerful enough to run 10 bit files, which almost everyone uses now, just use Horriblesubs or Deadfish's mp4 re-encodes.

horriblesubs doesn't have maousama or majestic prince, or i would use. commiesubs is supposedly 10bit mkv, yes, mx video which i use i have set to run the hd+ codec for 10bit mkv's, itwill not run via the hd+, it will only run via sw mode., recoding via format factory, just changing to h264 codec, it runs fine via hd+ codec, did it convert to 8bit? no idea, i just select make mkv, open file, make sure h264 selected and hit start. at the same time i open mkvtools, extract the subtitles, when decode done i open it in mkvtools add subtitle file, press start, 10 sec later it runs with subs, streamed to my tablet. all icare is, it works.
Horriblesubs does have Majestic Prince, you didn't look very hard!

I had some time this weekend so I blitzed through Hataraku Maou-sama. Overall I would classify it as "weird" because it's disguised as Ichiban Ushiro no Daimou style show that is almost a student council genre with competing character interactions. It feels like it's clinging to the middle and actively avoiding a deep foray into action, romance, or mature themes.
it does? damn their search sucks then.. hell i even went through the list and couldn't find it via alphabetical order, will search again... the torrent sites i visit don't list horriblesub versions either. will try again.

the reason why i couldn't find it, is because it is not under it's NAME...Ginga kikoutai majestic prince, it is under just majestic prince...big DOH slap to me.

I honestly dont see a relation with it at all. Daimou was vastly different, to compare them you may as well compare it to everything that has a good vs evil theme with devils and demons and heroes.

showed wife titan this weekend, (i waited until eps 8, for a reason, and those of you that watched eps 8 end, know why), next morning she says "so i read chapter 45..." She agree's with me too, titan is a good manga, but with animation and "3D Gears" it's great, other wise it's just gay little ppl gummie bearing around.

LOL, until last week I thought I had been completely off on Titan (And they would just be swapping main characters)--but this week confirms it, he DID go berserk and bust out of the titan, tricky bastards just didn't show it.
lol--I was not expecting the actual scene resemblance to come so close though. Was almost like a homage of the above scene. (Don't know what I was expecting--just not what actually happened.)
