Yes, but they can move past the Skywalker bullshit. Come up with new characters that are not Jedi or sith but still have force abilities. There are no limits to what can be developed in a world of magic. Just make it interesting and relatable.

I don't expect these fucksticks to do something like that. They're clearly incapable of anything outside the box. Christ, they can't even move past John Williams style soundtracks. Everything is encrusted in member berries. Even the dialogue has to have OT callback lines like " I got a bad feeling about this". It never ends. But my point is that they SHOULD be able to create something new within the Star Wars universe.
The only way to save Star Wars is to retcon all the taco bell diarrhea and bring back the colonoscopy prep diarrhea to replace it!

I'm sure they've made their money back but that isn't the problem. The problem is they should have been taking in profit, AND they lost out on comparable investments (even just basic bitch index funds) on top of inflation. When everyone else in the world made 50% on their money in that time and you did 4% over costs, that's a huge loss.
