What's your favorite makeshift Star Wars Trilogy if you have to choose one each from (1,4,7), (2,5,8), and (3,6,9) but you need to choose only 1 from each of the actual trilogies?

I feel like the most popular combination would be 7, 5, 3 as most people would take Force Awakens and Empire Strikes Back as their favorites from those respective trilogies. I think 4, 2, 9 is a darkhorse, though.

Any answer that doesn't put 3 as the best of the prequels is objectively wrong. Yeah there's still a lot wrong with it but it's head and shoulders above Eps 1 and 2.

Also I feel like the only right answer with the sequel trilogy is to just refuse to answer. Sure Ep 8 is a misbegotten abomination but I'm not gonna dignify slop from Abrams even if I'm only proclaiming it to be the best of a bad bunch.

2 is a no brainer. Yoda fighting, mass Jedi action, mass sand people extermination, it even has the force raping of padme.

Original trilogy is tough. It's hard not to include 4 because it sets everything up. But 5 is objectively the best of the entire franchise. However, 6 has always been my sentimental favorite.

7, 8, and 9 were so bad I can't even remember enough specifics or which film they happened in. 9 is out because palpatine. Maybe 7 by default just because carrie fisher died while it was being made (or was that 8?). But no, I think the real answer is the 3rd spot goes to the solo story because we get the chewie origin story.

5 and 7 are obviously the winners for their sections, but 2 vs 3 is rougher in my mind - an edited down 3 that shaves off 30 minutes or more (like the interminable Anakin / Obiwan fight) would be a clear winner.

I'm not sure a better way to phrase the question, but if you choose 5 and 7, you have to choose 3. 5 is the second movie in its trilogy, 7 is the first movie in its trilogy, so you have to take the third movie in the first trilogy. You can't take 2 and 8 because they're both the 2nd movies in their respective trilogies.

This would have to be the Emperor's story if one from each as he's the only character and actor that would be in every movie, so 3-6-9 would be the only coherent choice.

This is objectively correct right?

You can just choose your favourites but I think having the flow of the story make sense would improve the experience.

That doesn't follow the guidelines, though. 1-5-9 would and makes sense if you want to follow the Emperor's story, although you won't see his initial demise in Return of the Jedi. You do see him go from a normal Senator to Emperor to Zombie.

lol the intended audience for SC was me. there is no young audience, they were hoping a Gen Xer like me would allow my kids to watch the show with hopes they would get hooked. it ended up a massive failure because no matter how vanilla it was. they destroyed the IP already so nobody was willing to give them chances anymore. too little too late, cry some more you obvious shill.
