The game very obviously looks lazily made - and/or made by women.

Judging by everything I have seen it's the typical modern audience AAA ubislop. Or do they now try to call that AAAA? Whatever it is the shit has become so formulaic and lame that I immediately have zero interest in it. Don't even care about any praise or feedback, just no thanks is my only reaction to it.

It’s not a Jedi game so why would you have light sabers?

Doesn’t everyone talks to themselves

The limitations to steal from anyone are annoying yes, but I like Nix and his integration into the game.

I’ve only run into a couple of game issues and the last patch seemingly fixed those as I’ve not seen them since.

What issues have you specifically had?

It’s is formulaic for sure and that’s a fair criticism. They played everything as close to safe as possible it feels like, and that’s typical Ubi.

The “made by women” comment I don’t get, there’s almost no mention to gender in the game what so over.

I like the FarCry games so maybe that’s why I enjoy this. I’m not saying go spend $60 on it, but it’s been more than worth the $20 I spent to play it.

Got a giant backlog of games already, Steam is fucking me up with sales so I 'have' to buy them but I do intend to play this in a year or so when it's GOTY and on deep deep deep discount. (and someone has modded lightsabers, force powers, etc into it.)

Have you considered lighting sixty dollars on fire and having someone call you a bigot. Probably a much faster way to experience the game

It's a shameless generic cash grab? Star Wars counts for negative in my books because the IP is thoroughly trashed, but even if it didn't, compare this trash to Jedi Knight and Kyle Katarn. I realize this is like comparing Lil Pump to Beethoven but at least attempt this in the abstract. Regardless, if you are going to do slop in the Star Wars universe, you use lightsabers. No one gives a shit about some random pretend robin hood chick they made up.

There's also the issue that combat is stupid (lmao punching), stealth/AI are hilariously bad (bush camping) and the game was sold as open world, but is very much on rails from the standpoint of interactions you're permitted to have in the world.

So it's not that this game is a Concord level failure, it just doesn't need to exist, adds nothing to the franchise, provides no novel gameplay experience and costs way too much money for the stripped down 2009 game experience it is.

It’s 5th on their top sellers right now, and it’s too new for charts to pick anything up on it so hard to tell.

Early on in this thread, I said that this game looked somewhat interesting (lead character aside) after watching a bit of a showcase, but I couldn't have been more wrong and I deserve a big L.

I never had any intentions of buying it, but F for those that did.

For $18 it scratched a Star Wars itch. I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for it tho.

they did remove mandatory stealth from missions tho, so that was an improvement at least.

But did they remove the pants-on-head retarded stealth "kills" that she does? The way she takes out enemies looks so ridiculous that that alone would stop me from ever playing the game.

A single animation in a game seems an odd thing to get up in arms about to me, but we all have our things I guess.

Ever heard of a thing called verisimilitude, you pedantic fuckwit?

You might be able to switch your NPC brain off enough to enjoy the slop, but there's a level of 'realism' that many of us require for that kind of mindless disconnected enjoyment.

Watching a 90 pound girl flimsily limp wrist what is ostensibly ARMOR destroys any sense of immersion we might have had.

How many times do you suppose the average player does that takedown over the course of the game? Even if they removed the part where missions insta-fail if you are detected, it's still heavily stealth focused by design.

and your thing is never disliking any game ever.
Old trope is old. I’ve literally said the games not worth more than $18 and I’ve already given you examples of games I didn’t like.

You used to at least try when it came to this stuff. What happened to you, you’ve changed man.

Man, well I’m sorry the space game in a setting with Sci-Fi sorcerers that gain their powers through microscopic organisms while yanking ships down from orbit with said powers, wielding light swords and shooting lasers at each other didn’t have the realism you needed to not break your immersion because a girl had a weird animation.

when you say it like that, I get it man. Truly.

Also, that games not good for a variety of reasons, all of which are fine. For me, it scratched a Star Wars itch in a space where there’s not many games and it only cost $18 so was worth it for me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

i don't think its as offensive-in-your-face-worship-my-DEI-shit as Dragon Age Veilguard or Concord, it just seems extremely bland and non immersive. Still, I'll play this when ultimate edition is 75-90% off and I want to zone out in a star wars world for 25-40 hours, I do enjoy that kind of thing once in a while.

But yeah paying $110 or even $40 (the current sale price) is not worth it at all.

does make you miss stuff like Force Unleashed or KOTOR, it feels like we never get that kind of shit anymore. This game is like 15 years old now, sad
