That's me... even if it is the biggest part of the end. They need to have a 20+ minute battle where Vader absolutely annihilates everything. They do that and this thing will make a ton of money. As long as Vader comes in and wrecks shit, I'll be happy.
Was this movie made to be a one-off, or is it slated to be it's own series of films tied to the main SW universe (honestly haven't been following this one yet)? If it's a few films, they might not kill everyone off in this one.this could be a good opportunity for them to really establish the size of the rebellion more than they ever have. Mon Mothma is almost never with the main group throughout the movies but its common knowledge that she's a major player in the leadership. Its possible a few of these new characters live and just jet off to a different home base within the rebellion....but it seems far more likely that its gonna be a slaughter at the end.
Good to know, thanks. Just hope we get decent writers for those tales. They are stand alone films (A Star Wars Tale i think?). Year after episode 8 is the young Han Solo film. Not sure if they officially decided on the third? There was talk about Yoda, Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, etc...
They can always sell prequel comics and shit.Do we really think, that if RO pulls in 750M-1B+ at the BO that Lucasfilm will throw away the whole cast and never revisit (Assuming any survive)
We get like 3 marvel movies a year, why not Star Wars? Its possible but I think if anything they would probably take away "hey we are onto something with this standalone idea!" Plus the next three years is already mapped out, EP8, adventures of young Han (way more skeptical about this than R1), EP9....next standalone.
So they might ramp up more movies if this a runaway hit, but they seem to have a game plan in place and I'd imagine they will stick with it unless they start suffering drastic failure. This movie would have to exceed the wildest expectations to get a "sequel'. Story-wise they are limited in how they could keep going with this particular entry anyway.
So like the story from Lost stars basically lol.I would rather see a modern timeline tv series where we get both sides: a rebel academy and a first order academy. The main two characters are childhood friends that go to each faction. Too bad budget would be insane.
