yeah, its the best book so far. highly recommend it, even if it is sort of in the YA category.

Do we really think, that if RO pulls in 750M-1B+ at the BO that Lucasfilm will throw away the whole cast and never revisit (Assuming any survive)
MY theory is the female lead gets frozen in carbonite by Vader so she can be thawed out in episode 8 and fill the the Han Solo role for episode 9.

We get like 3 marvel movies a year, why not Star Wars?
The fact that we're getting so many Marvel movies per year is part of the reason we won't be getting Star Wars movies at that same clip. With Disney owning both and the demos for them overlapping so much at some point the tent pole's would start knocking up against one another on the calendar and diminishing the longer run repeat viewing numbers of each. There are only so many potential release dates in a year to park these mega-franchises on.

On a related note, of backtracking good Darth Vader stories, Darth Vader is going to end.

Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 1 (Star Wars (Marvel)): Kieron Gillen, Salvador Larocca: 9780785192558: Amazon.com: Books

It was slated for 25 issues, b/c Kieron Gillen (i'm fucking up his name) only created a 25issue series. However, the best marvel produced comic currently, in terms of content, quality and sales. So they're gonna get more done, however, i don't think these stories will be good, they'll probably suck, and i don't think Gillen is signed on for the rest, but so far, it's pretty great.

It's also completely cannon by Disney, so it's not like this is a one off, one shot, sorta pretend story, nope, this is what happened in the timeline.

I dunno, we're 6 months into this year and there's been some pretty big dearths of mega released in between the other big ones. Not that I am saying they SHOULD cram out more shit, but I don't think release room timing is a major factor.

Even if they only did 2 SW movies per year, should they occur less than 6 months apart? Probably not. They already have December on lock down so a second would land in the summer season. There are already 2 Marvel movies scheduled for the summer for the next few years in addition to others in both the 1st and 4th quarters of the year. They would need to slow the release rate of the comic book movies at this point to fit in another SW title each year.

If SW movies replaced marvel movies I wouldnt be upset. Also once Infinity War 1/2 is done and most of the OG avengers class is played out there will be a lot of room in the slate.

Sounds like it's going to be not so much a trailer but one of those series of scenes being shot like they released for TFA.

I'm fine with that, I got insanely hyped by that montage last year and knew they were going to nail it.

Actually I completely misread that. It's airing during a making of TFA special. It probably is a regular trailer.

That trailer could drop earlier than the broadcast time, during Star Wars Celebration earlier in the day. The ABC showing could end up being just to get it out to a wider audience, with Celebration being across the pond this year.

yeah I meant to pop in and amend my post. The panel that everyone thinks its going to be first shown in is 8 hours before the scheduled thing on TV on the west coast if I understood correctly. That thing will be all over the internet by the evening.

Lucas is a fucking hack, this make me just hate the prequels all over again. Moving live action shots, wtf is that lol? CGI denisty all day, derrrr.
