Kinda neat video, but I can't stand Breznican. I'm hoping seeing this TIE in action bumps my reception so far, but it just looks like they cut the top wing off a Droid Tri-fighter and said "good enough"...initial reaction for the last few months has been bleh. I just love the 4 TIE variants from the OT and even the new one from TFA, but this one, and even the V-wing so far, have seemed like they were trying too hard. Just give me lots of X-Wings and Y-Wings vs Standard TIEs and I'm happy all day.

I looked back a few pages and didn't see anything about this so here's something cool. The character played by Whitaker is Saw Gerrera who was first introduced in the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series. He's the first character to be taken from the series and put into live action form. Filoni said that this isn't the last and he says we may see more "soon."

I would prefer them continuing to broaden the universe with new characters and all that instead of rehashing old book content in the main series. Besides the original cast cameos and all that.

Gonna have to see where they go with him in Rebels and in the new book, since the old ones are no longer canon. I suspect he'll survive Rebels but perhaps not the book.
