I've been impatiently waiting for a good old fashioned Star Wars space battle since 1983. I am excited now. It better not be some quick 2 minute fucking thing to make more time available for a bunch of stilted dialog.

That spot 27 is fucking bonkers. There is so much good shit in that 30 seconds...fucking Y-Wings in formation, that alien yelling, and of course K-2SO stealing it again. Today was a huge hype day for me and I was already way onboard.

Current Rebels episodes are only a couple years or less before ANH. Princess Leia made a cameo as a 16 year old last season.

I am aware. But Considering in ANH there are no Jedi and Ezra/K are Jedi, they must have died. I am well aware of the timeline

They are force users, not Jedi technically. But I see your point. Kanan will die at some point, but there are still rumors that Ezra may show up in the current timeline.

galaxy is a big place. Two of the most powerful Jedi (one of them the among the most powerful of all time) hid out for decades without the Empire having any idea, during the time where there were supposed to be no more Jedi. No one really needs to die from the Ghost crew, actually.

Cant wait. Only thing im worried about is this being better than ep 7.

If it is it waters down the main product and fans will start the narrative of the Star Wars "stories" being better than the actual Star Wars final trilogy.

It could be good in a way though as they can keep cranking out the stories even after ep 9.

Kanan is most certainly a Jedi. He considers himself as such even though he departed from Jedi ways for a time. Ezra is a bit more complicated and it's not really clear which school, if any, he truly belongs at this point.

But in the end none of that really matters. Filoni wrote Ahsoka's story in such a way as to protect his beloved character from Order 66 by having her leave the Jedi Order and he could do the same sort of thing with the entire Ghost grew if he takes a notion. We've already seen within the context of the show a place they can all go that only they know how to get to; Lira San.

Based on trailers this looks really good. It's great to get a Star Wars film outside the main Skywalker mythos. Advertising hype train success, count me in.

Kanan is definitely a Jedi, I'm not sure what else you call two force using good guys with lightsabers. They are Jedi enough that Yoda talked to them, so obviously Yoda wouldn't have said that Luke was the last of the Jedi if they were still kicking.

I Highly doubt after all the shit they did in rebels, they both go in "Hiding" right before ANH and abandon all their friends.

the battlefront dlc for Rogue One is out and its pretty lame, a new planet thats basically a tropical island and a planetary invasion through a shield in the sky. You do get to play as the chick from Rogue One or the old guy in white, but super lazy effort by DICE for their final battlefront DLC.
