Yes it is, and surprise surprise it's hot steaming trash. I actually liked a few things about the show but they managed to fuck it up at the end in true Disney fashion. Last episode just shits the bed so hard on any potential it has going in.

I don't remember the lesbians. But I mean, the barrier gets fixed and the slaver droids might get turned back on. This colony has been dependent on them for generations. Once the slaver droids are brought back online, they repair The Supervisor who just starts everything up again. I was disappointed we never saw the pirate captain who I am pretty fucking sure is Brendan Gleeson doing his mad eye moody impression.
To be honest, I was expecting the supervisor to be the captain.

The kicker is that they don't know jack shit about the vast almost infinite amounts of credits being produced.and yes I also figured the pirate captain was The Supervisor. Maybe that was the plan originally because they built him up throughout the season. For him not to be on the planet at all or not even a tombstone or something makes no sense. Instead it's just some random bullshit droid who has no fucking use for gold treasure? They had to have cut something out. Maybe Gleeson bailed on a cameo at the last minute so they just shoehorned in this droid.

Oh, ok. The Asian girl. That's KB. Yeah her mom has some stupid perm and was completely useless when she needed to get a rescue message sent. You know I did ponder that the Captain's corpse was on the ship, but I think the bodyguard droid, 33 might notice his precious Captain's skeleton laying in the corner like garbage. It also doesn't jive well with the idea that the Cap was awesome if he died in a crash or something. I think those skeletons were the crew and those guys were killed by the Captain because they might leave and tell everyone about the treasure planet. Dead men tell no tales. And no. Those pirates have no chance in hell of breeching that barrier when it's up. They would get vaporized.

That's a Gavin question. I don't know about the tech nerd stuff. That may have been a Captain's sword, but was it The Pirate Captains sword? It just irritates me that for no reason they introduce this character and shroud his identity like it's some intentional mystery that will be revealed later on for some Scooby-Doo ending. Can confirm. Have used Ion cannons to disable star destroyers shield generators in one of the starwars games. That was a long time ago, title is memory holed.

Alas, we were wrong.
SM-33's story lines up with something that happens a little earlier, in Episode 3, "Very Interesting, as an Astrogation Problem." Jod and the kids have just broken out of the brig at Port Borgo and made their way out. While the kids eat, Jod explores the Onyx Cinder and finds a skeleton stabbed through the chest hanging on a wall. That skeleton is probably Tak Rennod himself, in line with what SM-33 reveals about his captain's fate.
so yeah the captains crew mutinied, his concubine kills him, the crew takes the ship but crashes on Al Attin because probably while the ship was allowed to come through, the Supervisor immediately figured out they are pirates and shot them down. Why it didn't send robots out to recover the ship/bodies though is a classic Star Wars Mystery(tm) since you need the crashed ship to let the kids start.
