I, for one, think it might be nice if folks showed the office of the President a little respect, and referred to the person holding said office in respectful terms, even if he doesn't fulfill your political wet dreams.

But I guess that's just me.
Barry doesn't respect us, no reason to respect him. Last I checked, he thought he was too good for us.

But you can be every bit as low-brow and use big words. Pay attention to the substance rather than the style.
Are you arguing that something is possible or that there isn't a correlation between people who use stupid combinations of words for people's names and the quality of substance of their message?

Oh. Not only that it is possible, but providing a high profile example of it. Will is a personal guilty pleasure, the man can write and his mind is fascinating, but basically any high profile editorialist would work. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they just have an agenda and a deadline.

You can't deny or argue the basic correlation between "Obummer" and shitposts. That's the other end of the spectrum, I guess. I don't agree that even using the terms "Obummer" or "Dubya" is innately disrespectful or invalidates the content of the complaint -- even though a lot of times it is and it does. But the content determines that rather than the style.

It was humorous and appropriately respectful when we called President George W Bush 'W', or 'dubya', wasn't it? I'm just trying to keep that lightheartedness going. Also, it's shorter and I don't want to waste electrons typing his entire name everytime I talk about him. I don't understand why libtards are suddenly so sensitive about fun little abbreviations.
You do realize the source for those nicknames was George W Bush himself from his race for governor as what to call him to distinguish him from his father.

So... really equal comparison...

'0bummer' is tolerable, but using shit like 'DemoRats' and 'Rethuglicans' should be infraction-worthy.

But he's a ni....SOCIALIST!
I'd respect Rush and other lunatics so much more if they came out and said what really.rustles them about the president.

Lurking is right, respect should be shown to the office, but not necessarily the man who holds it. It says a lot about either a nation or the leader when this respect is lost. I find the acronymisation of offices by the media and Facebook tards equally as disrespectful.

Also, the closest thing to a god on earth is a four star in regards to respect, authority and capabilities

0/0bummer/0bongo/Hussein = lame childish attempts to be derogatory
Dubya = W. Bush = the moniker that Bush himself came up with because it beats calling him Junior all the time. And who the fuck wants to be called Junior?

I just say Bush. When I want to refer to the other one, I say Bush Sr. because W was more recent.

EDIT: The equivalent would be "Bu$h" and not Dubya.

Are there a lot of people who think he is a god?
Obama? Yes. Everyone that voted for him or defends anything he does no matter how critical they are of him otherwise. At least according to Republicans. It's their favorite strawman. "Your God did so and so, the liberal Jesus did this and that, blah blah" You'll notice the trend if you ever read the comment section under any article that remotely has anything to do with politics.

Maybe it's to get back at people for mocking the Repubilcan Messiah, Ronnie-RayGunn. Or maybe they just don't like a negro giving orders. Who does that monkey think he is, giving orders like he's the President or something. Does he think he's God?

Why is it I only ever read the most racist things on this board from angry liberals

Well, I do hate Kangs. But you're confusing mockery with anger. You can pretty much just assume that anything I post is intended to be amusing/mocking, unless I specifically say "this shit makes me angry."

A lot of people on the right believe him to be some anti-Christian socialist who's out to dismantle America's moral fabric. But the truth of the matter is that he's not much different from Bush and many liberals insist on making excuses for him.

I don't know, I'd say this Congress combined with the state of the economy when he took office is a pretty good excuse. But I didn't believe in Obama from the start and I didn't want him to win the nomination.

I'd say that, with my level of expectation, he's done "okay." Nothing has been made worse, at least not anything that can be measured until years down the road. Hell, you can say that about most any President. You couldn't really judge them until they were already gone.
