Anyone know if this Dawn of Fantasy is as bad as the metacritic after it's expansion? I may just pick it up since it's only $10 and looks like my kind of game.

Granted, I haven't played ToEE since it first came out (around 2003?), but I remember modestly enjoying the gameplay and really hating how short it was. Iirc it was literally only a few hours long. If you're catching it on sale or it's $10 or something you might get that value out of it, but I imagine it hasn't aged well since even newly released I felt pretty "meh" about it.

ToEE with the Co8 mod is a massive improvement over the vanilla game. I wouldn't suggest playing the NC (New Content) version your first time through it though.

Some of the GoG packs have "Buy now" rather than "Add to cart" but if you add each game individually you can buy multiple deals at once.

Just picked up Legacy of Kain and Sierra packs this way.

Jesus. How sad is it that Ultima Underworld 1&2, combined, only take up 29MB?! Ultima 7 is only 30MB as well. I played those games for weeks probably, and they had tons of content. You can't even fart near a computer without taking up more than 29MB nowadays.

Spent $65 on this damn sale, on games that I will probably never play. Ah, nostalgia.

There was a day an age where I wouldn't buy a game on principle if it didn't have at least 2 or more 3.5's

Fucking Darklands and it's 20 floppies or whatever. 2 hours to install the first 15 discs then there's 17 18 19, where the fuck is 16???

Great game tho.

I don't think it merits his own thread, but does anyone know anything about Ride To Hell: Retribution? Biker-themed open world game releasing tomorrow.

The graphics look like ass from the trailers on Steam, but I love the concept.

That would be a huge shock. The Summer Sale has always (as far as I can remember) been in the 1st-3rd weeks of July.

As for 'Ride to Hell: Retribution' if you can stand him, TotalBiscuit said he would be putting out a 'WTF' is on the game sometime this week, so if you want to wait and get his opinion/chance to see some of it, that is an option.
