Fiance bought RCT3 for $10....I just bought it for $5...I'm not sure if that's a win or not since I technically paid for both copies.

Also, fucking steam sale....they just crush you with the "I can't NOT buy this game it's so cheap!"

Picked that up for $6 the other day. Very hard game though.
I'd disagree with that. I just started and am only level 6 and I'm by no means an FPS pro and I was having positive K

ratios towards the end, even one where I had something like 32 kills and 17 deaths. I think the biggest thing is you really have to understand the weapon you're wielding (range/speed/damage) and make sure to use the appropriate type of attack (stab/slice/overhead). I'm glad I did the tutorial or I doubt I would have learned about some things.

Yeah for what looks like a simple game, it is definatly skill based. Had one guy playing on a server I was on, and he was like 38/5 or something crazy like that. I watched him and he would literally go against like 4 people and just tear through them with his greatsword. I am assuming that after a while you get very fluid with combos and swinging swords into vulnerable spots and cancel attack/blocking, and you can probably chew through people.

I did alright after a few games, and even got a positive ratio almost 2:1 a few times, but there were a few games too where I was getting destroyed. It seems like the best strategy is don't try to go 1 vs 2 etc. Try to pick people off, etc.

I enjoyed Dungeon Defenders, but the devs continually fucked that game up. I put a shit ton of hours into it though. Haven't played it in like a year+ though, so who knows if it's any good at this point.

And Orcs Must Die was fun for a few hours. But I got bored of it quickly. It's like a tower defense game, but mixed with FPS.

Yeah, absolutely. It's what I love about it, it really does require skill. And not the twitch Counter-Strike AWP type of skill. Just the fact everything's slower and closer than your typical FPS shooter really makes for a different kind of game. You really have to try and maintain a 360 degree awareness too - there'll be times I see someone in front and I know someone's coming behind/to the side so I try to time it so the guy in back gets hit by the backswing. I've really been pleasantly surprised by this game and its depth.
