Ended up doing a ton of side missions all last night, there are some real good ones. Fucking Barry. Finally a character in a video game that drinks more wine than I do!
The music in this game too. Doing the fishing quests and such and that music at the Oasis is so good.

if you only have three hours into this game, which was the same as me when I moved to the PS 5 Pro - this game alone was worth it. Pro mode, HFR as long as you have an HDMI 2.1 set up, is ridiculously good. But you’d also have it for monster hunter wilds or deliverance 2 if you play those, and GTA6.
32 hours in and it feels like 5. And doing everything the game has to offer before as advancing the main quest and this time it’s easy to stick to that.
The music in this game too. Doing the fishing quests and such and that music at the Oasis is so good.

why HFR mode though, doesn't that mean you have to enable 120hz on the TV and PS5? I never turn that stuff on, it seems unrealistic for any game to go above 60 fps on consoles really
i'm playing on the pro with pro mode (not pro max), i have no idea the FPS its hitting but i assume a rock solid 60 fps with PSSR

The usual reason for enabling it is to run games at 40 fps in a 120Hz container.
I know, but it's still the gore censorship that really bugs me. I kind of doubt PC mods will bring it back to how the demo was though, so I'd definitely rather just play the version I already paid for rather than wait X months for it to come to Steam.

Try it. Go Pro Mdde with HFR enabled, 120hz and VRR - and test between the two. The graphical PSSR is indistinguishable between native 4k, and runs at 80 FPS and like Vorph said, zero input lag.

cool i've played now with 2-3 hours with HFR/VRR/120 all enabled, i don't honestly notice any difference in Pro mode than without HFR but man these visuals are something else
the titty physics in this game are truly next gen

Combat is actually good plus some exploration, story narrative is a bit thin but surprisingly it has enough meat on the bone to genuinely lead into a sequel. There's tight quarter maps and two larger open areas but both of those are desert-like environments.
Then they do amazing views and scenic landscapes on the second to last area. If they do create a sequel they really need to do jungle or snowy type terrain.

Finished this Monday - great game. I ended up doing the fishing quests too and such. I didn't finish up the selfies but did all the other side quests and calendar missions outside of that. Some decent stories in there that spanned multiple quest legs.
Just restarted Hogwarts now on PS5 Pro since I was about 20 hours in and got side-tracked.

I stopped about halfway through. Wanted to wait for PC version since it was confirmed as I was playing. While it ran good, did have some framerate issues. (not getting a PS5 pro any time soon unless a new PS5 exclusive comes out).
The game is quite good. Combat is excellent. Fast, but with a good parry system. Very understandable that they've sold enough to port the game to PC + greenlight a sequel.

i'm over half done and really enjoying it. Story reminds me a lot of Nier Automata. Boob, ass, and legs physics are off the charts, the main character is kinda 1 dimensional but the world is really fun to explore and I really like the combat. Its nowhere near dark souls but its much harder than assassins creed or anything like that.
if you have a good PC i'd just wait for the PC release this year at this point, but if not a good PC it should run just fine on ps5
It is anime as FUCK so your enjoyment will really depend on how much typical anime you've watched
