Weren't most of this cast already rumored to be in here? I guess Will Smith is a surprise but he's fine with me, having a wonderbread cast would be pretty lame. Jared Leto will either be awesome or horrible, I don't expect a mediocre preformance with somebody that method with that character.

Are they planning on introducing any of these characters in earlier films? It seems like a pretty unknown (to the mainstream) group of characters; The Joker is probably the only oneeveryonewould know, while only people who have been interested in Batman cartoons/games would know Deadshot and Harley Quinn. Rick Flagg, Boomerang, and Enchantress will basically be completely new characters to most people who see this movie.

I watched Assault on Arkham a while ago and I didn't really like it very much, at least compared to the other DC animated movies. I though the characters were pretty stupid, probably because I had never heard of most of them since I'm not a comic reader. Killer Frost? Captain Boomerang? King Shark? They struck me as D-list level characters that a bunch of elementary school friends would come up with during lunch in the cafeteria.

Then again, I also think the Suicide Squad stuff on Arrow is one of the low points of that show, so maybe I'm just not meant to enjoy anything Suicide Squad-related.

Killer Frost was the most commonly recurring villain in the JL animated series after Star Sapphire. Captain Boomerang is part of Flash's rogues gallery, but he had a couple appearances in the series as well. I had never heard of King Shark or whoever the fuck the black guy was before assault on arkham.

I don't have much nice to say about this.

I was super happy with Suicide Squad being announced.
This lineup, ugh.

I actually like Leto. but, why Joker? why would he even be IN this movie? I can only hope flashback or lead in. With harley+Joker doing bonnie and Clyde, getting caught/arrested. and then the movie starting with Harley being given a shot on the Squad.
Rehashing Assualt on Arkham would be stupid.

In general the casting is stupid. its the same problem with having Harley on it in the first place.
Harley, Deadshot and Joker are not expendable. They won't die.
The entire point of a team of D-list villians doing the dirty dozen is they are expendable.
The ACTORS should reflect this choice as well. High profile actors turn it from The Losers comic, to the Losers movie, or from Red Comic, to RED movie.
While, you may argue that those movies are not bad, in their own rights. They are both massively different beasts from their origins.
Will Smith is like the exact opposite of the kind of actor you should have for a d-lister most never heard of before. really, look at RED, you can't even tell me what the name the characters were. all you see is stars.


Oprah as Waller I would actually be pretty OK with.
