9 of those 10 points are the dumbest things I have ever heard, I think they have barely read a Superman comic since.. well any comic.

The only issue with Superman is the lack of creativity in its villians. And lack of creativity in writing him. The Very recent Superman (comic) stuff has been pretty good. But people always try to fix a clock that aint broke.

1. Too many powers - Not really since 1985. There are faster characters, there are stronger characters, there are people that can fly farther and he cant shoot tiny supermen out of his fingers anymore.
2. I would think going from being completely alone and building a family from everyone around him to the entirety of the world loving and respecting him is "earning it". He has to be the epitome of the human spirit, thats kinda a big deal.
3. He is an immigrant who works hard to become the best he can be. Nope he isn't relatable.
4. Fear of Failure, but confidence to protect the world from hard is a pretty good internal conflict.
5. Story arcs are predictable .... I am sooo sorry the good guy wins.
6. He represents the good of humanity, the epitome of its core being. So dumb to be inspiring huh?
7. Weaknesses; Magic, Most of the Suns in the universe, stronger dudes, smarter dudes, New Gods.
8. Personality? That has to do with the writer, Geoff Johns, Old John Byrne, Grant Fucking Morrison. Patience and Understanding is lack of a personality i see.
9. Superman is Siegel and Shusters, Otto Binder, John Byrne, Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Alan Moores, Scott Snyders and every other fantastic writers Moral stance you fuck. The only writer who hates him is Frank "kill all the muzzies" Miller.
10. Braniac, Luthor, and Zod is really all he has =\

That article, like most articles lately, is hipster "everything that isnt ironic is stupid" garbage. Superman is the antithesis of irony.

Having never read a superman comic I will say that watch Superman VS the Elite if you think the story arcs are predictable. That is a great superman story.. You don't need a villain as powerful as the hero to challenge them because there are more ways to challenge a hero than by just fighting them.

lol, the Psycho think got me thinking. What if Clark Kent didnt become a reporter but became a businessman like Patrick doing close to the same things. Having the girls hold heavy dangerous items over the other knowing humans cant hold it for long. Watching him destroy the bathroom over a business card from Lex.
Gah, now I wont be able to watch AP without thinking of this!

Costs for a trailer clip vs. use in full movie are pretty different if I remember correctly

Im more interested in El Diablo then the other characters after seeing all these trailers. Guess its because hes the only character I never read up on much and actually looks much better in the movie than the comic

I'm about 80% convinced that the awesome songs in the trailers mean this movie will be bad. Not super, awful, terrible bad. Just a disappointment. I feel like if this was R they could do some awesome shit, but it's PG-13 so it's going to be knock'em-out-violence and shitty quips.

yeah. marketing is too good. This movie can't deliver. Repetitive clips suggest all around kindof mediocre.
Hopes are still high, it won't be BAD. but yeah. more like a Hulk, punisher, Daredevil, etc. No, Dredd or GotG.

My prediction is Will Smith only wears his mask in the beginning of the movie until he gets caught and goes to Jail so you can see his face the rest of the movie and Im still sticking with Slipknot getting his head exploded by the implant

Boomerang looks way cooler then he ever did in the comics.

Yeah Im curious how thats going to pan out, I did see a clip of him actually throwing a boomerang. Wonder if the Suicide Squad game on android reveals anything
