I actually watched "Hook" with my daughter yesterday. There's a scene where Rufio and Peter go at it with insults similar to that, and any time they say a good one, the crowd shouts Bangarang.

you're right, it does look campy. i dunno if you have seen season one of the Flash on the CW, but that show has some campy characters on it too. both shows are based on comic characters which are 50+ years old, its really hard to introduce those things in today's world without some of it looking really out of place. if you like shows about superheroes/supervillains then you will have this happen. Arrow which is a more gritty realistic type of show is not immune to this either. its a fine line between too silly and just silly enough so as not to break your suspension of disbelief.

we will see.

Last "superhero" show I watched was smallville which avoided most of the super shit, but this is full on costumes and stuff. The picture of red tornado is Lolsworthy.

Just watched the pilot for this, god it was awful in every way. It just breathes Political Correctness, hopefully this bombs and they make a real super heroine.

Not sure what you mean? Pretty sure they are not going for your typical comic fan with this show, more of a female audience and marketed a bit towards young girls. What would be a real super heroine?
