Yeah but that's the magic of asian women. They look 20 for years and years, then overnight they look 120.
I've only watched the 6 minute trailer, not the leaked pilot yet, but my feeling was that they were following the same pattern set forth by Arrow and Flash where she'll assemble a crime-fighting team that helps her along the way and he is going to be a part of that ensemble, hence the early reveal. I'm not sure about the homo/no homo aspect at all.1) I'm a little surprised that she shared her secret with the dude that is obviously in love with her that she can't possibly have worked with for more than a couple of years. I don't even remember his name, that's how big of a character he was. Hell, in a place like that, that dude is more likely to sell her out to Cat than keep her secret. Anyone else get the feeling that they might have originally written his character as gay, and then added some lines to make him not? Would have made more sense because they might have been BFFs instead of just coworkers. Or maybe I just see gay everywhere, fabulous!
Yeah. 2015 isn't a great time to be dragging out 56 y/o characters without changing them to fit modern times and expecting people to buy into them. Finally watched it, was mediocre at best. Hopefully those arent the final special effects, and the acting was hard to keep watching
im going to let you in on a secret. a pretty girl will look good in anything that shows off her body. i will also let you in on another secret, TV show pilots are not necessarily what the season is going to be about. its a proof of concept to hopefully be greenlit by the network into developing a full series. this was picked up, as always with shows that are picked up, there will be changes from the studio heads as to what direction a show may go in. that direction may or may not fit in with how it was originally imagined. after that pilot, i doubt we see so much jampacked into one episode every week, that was just an introduction as what the show has to offer.Yeah. 2015 isn't a great time to be dragging out 56 y/o characters without changing them to fit modern times and expecting people to buy into them.
The whole Kara as some meek shadow to her cousin is a bad start. Dropping her into the tired old shit of cape+tights+fancy bright leotard...is just unimaginative. I'm pretty sure yoga shorts+top in dark blue would have been better and not so 1980 bad television.
And as I mentioned, the whole late 50's ideal of a super heroine isn't going to work today...yet here it is. And even with everything changed and all the characters updated, all we'd have is a Lois and Clark 2015 but with the genders swapped, and that was pretty bad TV at its best.
I do like the chubby blonde that's playing Kara, though. Despite how awful it is in a modern story, I am quite quite smitten with her cape and black tights and that red mini skirt. And those boots...those fucking boots....I think her outfit should be made from rubber, because I am her villain.
...I am Latex Luthor.
THAT WOULD BE MAKING HER WEAKER JUST BECAUSE SHE'S A WOMAN YOU SHITLORD CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGEThey really need to work on the props, god they looked like straight up plastic. I really wish they could go with a supergirl that isnt full uber mode, kinda of like a female version of Power Boy/smallville clark kent
