i just finished fast forwarding through season 22 redemption, that one was dumb season, after they got rid of russell, it was like the boston rob show, why would anyone want to watch one guy dominate 15 ppl? it was really sad to watch these losers bend to robs will, well at least the crazy black guy had a strategy.
Rob's win that season was masterful. He is equally as manipulative as Russell, only people still liked him at the end. A Russell strat will never win you the million, unless you get to the final three with three Russells.

Pretty much sums it up. Russel always had the plan to get to the end, but always overlooked the final vote where people actually had to like you and vote for you to win the million bucks. Massive oversight on his part. Who knew being a dick and fucking every single person over wouldnt win you their favor!?

Rob's win was like watching someone throw a no hitter. It was the perfect game and entertaining as hell (to me atleast) to watch.

I'm the opposite. While I thought Rob played great, it was the most boring shit to watch. At least when JT won it was fun to watch him and the nerd own everyone. In Rob's season it felt like he was just killing ittoohard

Rob played well, but he also had some of the most pathetic players ever on his tribe. Either it was edited terribly or they simple never even discussed getting him out. As a returning player who had made it to the end of the game before, he should have been a much bigger target. He was basically never a target. That's impressive on his part, but completely embarrassing on the part of every other player on his tribe.

Some people would complain and be bored watching a pitcher throw a perfect game. Chicks dig the long ball.
Watching him work that game was masterful and amazingly entertaining if you're into Survivor for the strategic aspect of it.

I'm reflecting on rob's winning season and i think it was 2 things. production found the most C-grade contestants possible and divided them up into teams so that either russell or rob would have their way with them. (the teams were pre-determined and rob/russell chose which random team to be on) It's just the luck of the draw that rob got his team and was able to make a cult out of them, i think russell got the rob team, he would have won too, probably any returning player would have won with the rob team. the russell team made the biggest mistake, they threw a challenge that included a tarp, watching this a few seasons of survivor, fire and tarp seem to be the 100% most essential anything.

plus russell is a monster, he really is built like a pit bull and he gives 100% on challenges.

but rob was able to make a cult, so much that the next time the crazy black guy went back on survivor he was praising rob and his teachings to other contestants, it really is sad how culty rob was with these people, but it was a great strategy.

imo russell plays for the fans, i wasn't a fan of survivor but i am of russell, i watched all his seasons (too much survivor marathons) i'm not saying he's "play up the part" no he comes in to win and dominate, where 90% of all the other contestants are either doe eyed stupid fans or ppl that tan on the beach for fun, he plays the game and plays it hard, but all the jurys he's faced are just too emo.

Russell's problem is he always playedtoohard. He made it to the end, but he pissed off every single person along the way. Besides, he burned that black guys socks early on, bad karma.

Keeping those people happy(or at least happy enough to give you a vote) is a big part of the game. The fact that Russell haszeroskill in that part of the game really prohibits him from being considered a great player in my opinion. He was very entertaining, but that doesn't make him good at Survivor. I thoroughly enjoyed his seasons, but you can't be a complete douchebag and strong-arm everyone into your plan, then think anyone will respect or like you when it's time to give away the million dollars. It's just bad strategy.

The shame of it was the people who won instead of him. I would've been fine with him losing if halfway decent players had won in his place.

but that's the thing about survivor that doesn't seem to factor in, the jury most of the time is happy to give their vote to the tag along, b/c (aside from the parvati women season) there is always a female tag along that makes it final 3/2. the jury would rather give their vote away to a tag along than vote for the guy that played the game, at least this is what i saw in russell's case.

s19 were butt hurt by russell so they gave it away to natalie. Then even with a season full of veterans, i think they were butt hurt that russell played a better game than they did, and voted emo again, so emo they voted for a previous winner.

I disagree. I'd say most of the time if you're dragged to the end by a superior player, you'll get called out during final tribal. Cochran brought to complete losers with him to tribal. It was awesome.

Russell style will get you to final. But that's it.

oh that's what i left out, dragging a tag a long seems to work for everyone but russell.

You know what, the game would change imo if there wasn't a consolation 2nd, 3rd or 4th prize (100k,80k,60k) there should only be 1 winner, 1 prize, this way maybe these tag alongs wouldn't feel so happy being dragged along and actually play the game. they know they ain't gonna win sole survivor, but they'll be assured at least 80k.

i realized this when i watched the season with tom and ian, the girl (i don't even remember her name she's such a forgettable tag along) said she didn't even think of winning if she was up there with tom, she didn't even try to win jury votes.

Wow, what a gigantic faggot. If he quit once why did they bring his ass back for another season.

Meh, If you fall to all fours in that challenge it should count as a loss.

Colton is the worst piece of shit to ever be on this show. His boyfriend seems so fucking normal. How could anyone possibly deal with Colton a daily basis?

He was taken out for medical reasons, I think they didn't realize he actually made up the illness to get pulled. He's such an asshole and terrible human being, it would be nice to see him hit by a car.

dumb how many times they bring these assholes back, he'll probably be back in two more seasons on a villains team with Brandon Hanz.

Anyone else notice Coltons boything didn't get to participate in the challenge? Both of the girls went twice, found it odd he didn't go at all. It really ended up tilting the challenge in the other teams favor.
