I'm about ready to cancel my Cell Phone Service if Verizon keeps fucking off and continues to delay rolling out servicing for the Nexus.

Debatable. There's a top 3, and Google is of course one of them, but Google is arguably the least powerful of those 3. Less cash, less revenue, less profits than the other two. Yes, you have to love what Google is trying to do with less and I'd love to see Apple and Microsoft use their money to tackle some of the interesting projects Google has gone after, but until one of those projects really hits Google is just one of the big three. I mean when it comes down to it what big thing has Google really done? Google improves on others innovations and makes them cheaper in order to gain market share at the cost of profits. Great for the consumers, but it doesn't necessarily make Google more powerful because they're still making less money than the other guys. They've invested in projects nobody else has gone after, but none of those innovations have really hit as of yet. So until we'll all driving around in automated cars with glass on our head, you can't really say Google is "the most significant and powerful tech company in the world." They have yet to really be king the way Apple and Microsoft have been, and those two are still sitting prettier.

I'm rather impressed by the Retina MBP, though. Definitely grabbing one of those.
Hilarious how they introduced the iPad mini a year (?) ago and everyone with a brain knew they were just going to release a retina version next year to force everyone who cares about display quality to upgrade. What a joke of a money grab to wait a year to give people the screen they'd expect from a tablet.
Eh, I've already explained several times before that a retina iPad mini simply wasn't possible last year. Retina screens need powerful SOCs, and they're generally power hungry, which would have made releasing a retina model difficult last year. This year's SOCs are significantly more powerful and they use less power, and recent developments in screen tech have allowed for more efficient screens, which is why we're seeing a retina iPad mini now.
It's a massive rip off at $400, though. I'm still shaking my head at that pricing.

Apple has become with their phones/tablets what EA sports does with their sports games. A well-planned, incremental upgrade system from year to year. Never give the customer too much in any one year, hold some already existing tech/features back for subsequent years so you can really string people along and make them pay full price for small, incremental upgrades.
Great profits for the company selling the product, but it's ultimately a total dick move that screws their customer. Luckily, fanbases of both are completely void of perspective, and just keep buying everything that is offered up at record paces.

Late here... I'm confused. The iPad 2 = iPad 2nd generation? As in the one from 2 years ago? They're still making/selling it even with the 30-pin connector?
Some of their products are well priced.
The Retina MBPs, for example, are pretty damn good value, in my opinion. I'll be picking one up shortly. The iPad Air is also the same price as the iPad 4 - I don't think that's a bad price at all.
It's just the Mini, the Retina Mini, and the iPad 2 that let them down. They're horribly priced, especially compared to the competition. The 5c would fit in well with this list too.

My buddy just got his Surface Pro 2 256GB and first thing he did was install FFXIV. Said it was running at 20fps 1080p with default settings. Changing to laptop - standard keeps him around 30fps in town.
Looks like I'll be selling my 2011 MBP and going with the SP2. Think I'm gonna get the 128GB version tho.
