Predators was worth watching once, AvP was not worth watching at all. The originals you still find yourself watching whenever you catch them on TV.

I still think Predator 2 was a cool film, even tho it was a mess in the pacing department.

Nothing will ever beat the first one tho. That film is still fucking boss

AvP Requiem falls into averyshort list of films that I had sat down, planning to watch in full (not like channel surfing, but fully intending to watch) and just gave up on and turned off. Seriously it's only 4 or 5 in my life.

There was some BS teenager plot-line with guy who delivers pizza and this time it's to some girl he likes, she's got a jerk boy friend who then beats up pizza guy. I'm sitting there going "What the fuck's this gotta do with Aliens fighting Predators???"

I shut it off shortly after.

I agree, its dog shit.

I dont mind the one in the Antarctic and Predators was pretty enjoyable, mostly due to the solid cast.

Wasn't there a scene in AVP2 with a nursery? I mean the people who made that movie need to at the very least be committed, or just you know have their worthless faces punched in.

Oh god. AVP Requiem is so bad I'd forgotten it exists. Thanks, assholes, for making me remember.

Saw Genisys. Not horrible. Not bad. Better than 3 (4 doesn't exist, in my mind). Wasn't bored watching it which is all I was hoping for.

Was Predators hated?
Predators was super enjoyable imho. Laurence Fishburne was completely underutilized, they could have gotten anyone to play a crazy asshole for 10 minutes of screen time. Rest of it seemed pretty on point and cut right to it, unlike Requiem...

I haven't seen the movie yet, but does it basically confirm the theory of time travel they laid out in Sarah Connor Chronicles?

Basically, once you go back in time, any changes you make essentially make you split off into a new timeline. The old one is preserved, but you cannot access it or change it anymore. Therefore, any changes you make are only to the new timeline and anything that comes back from the future after you made the changes is from the modified timeline you are on now

Matt Smith is an embodiment of Skynet that has seen all scenario's involving its destruction, thus the only way to achieve success is to corrupt the one thing the Resistance has that Skynet doesn't: John Conner. So when Kyle jumps into the teleporter, thats when Matt Smith strikes, at that moment everything that occurred previously in all iterations of Terminator was rewritten into what occurs with Genisys. TL;DR there should've been way more Matt Smith given the movie but I look forward to seeing the next two play out.

It did seem like the writers were heavily inspired by stuff from TSCC, yeah. Hell they even dissolve the robot parts the same way. But it starts in the post-T1 timeline and then jumps across the tracks and mostly ignores the other movies, and explains it away as there being certain "nexus points" in time where a major event can override all other possibilities. So tl;dr, somehow Kyle Reese from 1987's Judgement Day lands in a past ?? iterations down the line because JC always has to beat Skynet and send Kyle back to be his dad, despite the iterations of time travel changing everything else. That paradox overrides everything.

One thing I like is how it seems the later Judgement Day occurs, the less likely it is that humans can win.

I liked it. Arnold had a few too many smirks for a killing machine but whatever. Acting is so so but I'm here for the story or something, right?

Not sure how a rocket launcher would stop a T1000 in 1970. And clearly there's more story behind how old Arnold got back in time since they stated his memory had been wiped.

My memory is hazy but did they explicitly say that the blast from the explosion was supposed to have killed the T-1000 in the 70's? The way I understood it, it knocked the fuck out of it and Guardian grabbed little Sarah and they ran off. Then they went into hiding while he prepared her for the future. I don't remember a scene where they showed us the asian T-1000 arriving in 1984, so I thought it was the same one from the 70's that had gone on its secondary mission : wait for the arrival of Kyle Reese in 84 and take him out.

EDIT : Yep apparently I assumed correctly, found some confirmation online that the writers intended for it to be the same T-1000 and make it more satisfying when Sarah kills it with the acid vats.
