I can think of at least 3 perhaps you ran out of gas; perhaps your car overheated and seized; perhaps your battery died. There are a lot of reason you might, after sitting in traffic, open a door.

When driving a motorcycle it is on the cyclist at all times to be aware that they are in constant danger. I do wish we lived in happy-fun-land where people pay attention to what other people are doing but the reality is that other drivers are lucky they aren't hit by another car and motorcyclists are ESPECIALLY at risk.

So yeah here are some tits and a gun.
