NASA is about to make its most important safety decision in nearly a generation
Three Starliner mission managers had key roles on Columbia’s ill-fated final flight.

The day of decision arrives soon
6 miles? That would be like 3x the deepest mine we have dug on earth? Would the water be steam at that depth? The latest water on Mars news. Detected the same way we find groundwater, oil, etc on Earth, via seismic waves.
It's 6+ miles underground though.

I had no idea Mars lacked a Molten Core. No T1 gear for them.Mars is only 1/3rd the size of Earth and its presumed the core isn't molten like Earth's, so at depths it may not be as hot as Earth.
However, water that deep still leaves open the possibility of large water reserves closer to the surface

8 miles? Seriously?Don't need to mine water. We've got wells almost 8 miles deep already.
It's why Mars doesn't have a magnetic field, and its atmosphere evaporated.I had no idea Mars lacked a Molten Core. No T1 gear for them.

Almost like the Earth's designed was all planned out ahead of timeIt's been hypothesized that Earth wouldn't have a liquid metal core anymore if not for the moon - specifically, the gravitational interplay between the Earth and the moon helps ensure the core stays liquid and more importantly, magnetized.
They usually don't discuss the 787 at NASA press conferences noDid they actually say anything at the NASA press thing today(regarding the dreamliner)? All I can find is videos and I'm not sitting through one of those dry ass things.
OK I'm dying , that was kick ass. LOFLThey usually don't discuss the 787 at NASA press conferences no
Article headlines from today say no decision for at least another week so *shrug "OK I'm dying , that was kick ass. LOFL
The Boeing Starliner ,you know the shit show on the ISS
I hope whoever is going to mars is developing tunnel boring technology.6 miles? That would be like 3x the deepest mine we have dug on earth? Would the water be steam at that depth?
Just don't ask Neil Armstrong that question if you see him in personI still think The Moon Illusion: Why Does the Moon Look So Big Sometimes? - NASA Science is strong evidence we live in a simulation.
