Yeah, Pliny is meant to be enjoyed as fresh as possible. That's a good IPA lineup.

Arrogant Bastard is delicious.

I tried my first oatmeal stout and had another Old Rasputin this past weekend. I didn't enjoy either. I'm beginning to think I might just have shitty taste in beer.

Too much palate wrecking beers. Switch to shitty ciders and then come back to beer, should help refresh it.

hate black ipas. that firestone wookey jack is probably awful

arrogant bastard sucks too
Black IPA's are delicious and Wookey Jack is an excellent example of one. I'm normally not a fan of rye but I'll make an exception for WJ.

On the other hand, I don't like IPAs at all. I'll drink one in a pinch but give me a good stout or porter any day.

I generally gravitate towards hoppier styles, but I plan on adding a porter to my homebrew lineup and I generally start by tasting a bunch of commercial examples first, so I will probably be sampling a bunch in the near future.

I know you are just trolling, but hops add so many more aromas, flavors and complexities to a beer besides "bitter." And besides, bitter is delicious.

I can't get past the bitter though. So while I'm trolling a bit, that's really the face I make when drinking an IPA, particularly the super hoppy ones.

Bourbon barrel stouts are the GOAT. However anything less than a double/RIS stout always seems too thin to me. Rarely do I find a porter that wows me also. BCBS is in my top 3 favorite beers.

I REALLY want to try that peanut butter chocolate porter I see people go on about. Also Funky Buddha maple bacon coffee porter is supposed to be amazing but it's only released in Miami and I'm not driving all the way there for a fucking beer.

I don't understand how any of those fucked up beer flavors can ever be good. Maple bacon coffee porter? WTF.

There are all kinds of different flavors you can add to beer that taste good. However the only bacon beer I know of is that shitty Rogue garbage.

I cannot drink any white ales, hefes, or beers with a ton of wheat....my allergies go ballistic and its worse then any hangover during the morning.

Slaying this bad boy right now.

So creamy and chocolaty with coffee in there. I haven't had it since August or whenever it was released but it's much better after it's sat for a while. I only have one bottle left and I think I'll hold on to it for a vertical in the future.

Well they were originally brewed to meet mass demand for unsophisticated palettes so yea, that makes sense. But Pagan was talking about hefeweizens, not munich helles lagers. A good hefe is definitely not bland.
