Internet polls are almost always skewed in some way - they're terribly prone to tinkering and people misrepresenting themselves "just because" - in addition to that fact that they're voluntary so it only represents the most interested people that really want to present that they're interested in something whereas the more mellow people don't really go out of their way to vote generally.
(Think of it like in political polling - why the "base" is so important to the major political parties - the more energized a group is the more frequently they'll vote when it's voluntary, thus those energized groups are overly important in politics - in the business world the energized group isn't as directly influential however)
My personal expectation is (barring massive production differences - which there are insiders quoting there are drastic ones) that we see close to even SYSTEM sales between the two with something like a 60% PS4 and 40% XBOne share - but that we see PS4 game sales at a much higher rate at least 75% share of game sales the first quarter that reports. [in part due to lower system cost making two games roughly "free" if you're going for the same total expense - and secondly due to higher quality for shared titles plus more interesting exclusives]
Again, that's assuming similar production levels of each unit - which isn't accurate if the insiders are correct.

Doubt we'll get an official one till closer to mid/end of October.

Yeah I don't get the motivation to argue that virtually every poll on this subject is illegitimate for one reason or another. They probably aren't representative of first month sales projections for reasons that Khalid and Vaclav mentioned, but the polls all agree that Xbone is very undesirable for gamers who are paying attention.

It would make sense because of all the changes they've been forced into making....but I'm just reporting the rumor, no clue if its true or not.

Honestly there's very few console-unique games that seem worthwhile right now. And most games seem to be migrating into PC as well as PS4/XB1. Think it all comes down to who likes Halo 5 and who likes Uncharted 4, because in the end a PC will be able to play anything better than either console.
