Paul Thurrott said a couple weeks back on one of the podcasts(Windows Weekly or What The Tech, I forget which) he does if MS doesn't turn a profit this generation for the Xbox that it will be their last console. Things are changing big time at MS and basically Xbox is on thin ice.
Huge plus for sure. Everything I've heard about the game has been very positive. Titanfall lite will just have to do for some of us

Sounds like bullshit to me. I'm not saying that MS will for sure make a new console (The gaming scene in 7 years may be very different) but what credibility does this guy have that he can predict what MS does 4 years from now?
Is an interesting tangent though. With their admitted move into trying to be the entertainment console and not the "gaming" console , if TV's can do built in most everything the Xbox One can do in a few years non gaming wise , and PS4 trumps it soundly on gaming side (theoretically) , would it be possible for them to just give up on the next gen after this ?

I think at this point they make most of their money off of their online subscriptions, so I imagine Microsoft would rather integrate gaming into their already existing software rather than try to keep manufacturing hardware that bleeds red.

Hmm, hard to describe. I'm not sure I was happy with the no camera control thing but I can see why they did it. It just controls REALLY well, has tons of character, and was moderately difficult at times. I'd like to know how long it is and how varied the abilities get but it was difficult to judge with a 10-15 minute playtime.
Just as a side note , those getting it from Amazon , it's going to be in the Holiday return period for orders. Meaning you can keep the order inc even if waffling ,and still have till Jan 31st to return it.

Not a fan of locked cameras.... meh, probably getting it anyhow because of the Target/Amazon deal anyhow though regardless - if the deal looks to not pan out though, I hope there's a demo - don't like how that bodes to me.
Thanks for the review, I've been on the fence about this title, but I'll probably pick it up now.

I may be crazy but Knack is the only game I actually give a shit in the ps4 line up. Watch dogs (which isn't in the line up anymore anyway) never appealed to me. I can easily do without ever playing another Assassin's Creed for the rest of my life. Killzone has usually been mediocre in my opinion, don't care about sports games, can't stand Call of Duty franchise.
Knack looks unique. That alone puts it at the top of my must have list for this launch.

I've kinda been ignoring Knack because I feel like it'll be the first launch title we see given away within the next few/several months depending on sales and stuff or along with the Japan launch in Feb when they'll be getting it for free. I'm not ruling out picking it up as part of the Target thing depending on selection though. Picking up Madden and undecided on the rest. Kinda torn, I don't trade in much if at all, so games I know I'll play a lot (like Madden) I'll probably consider buying digitally and then just pick up other games are retail/digital sales compel me to.

Eh it kind of felt like a cartoony God of War type of game, the right stick makes you dodge in whatever direction you press, thus the no camera control. It works well when done right, but invariably there will be areas where it will fuck you over.
