If anyone in Canada was thinking of doing the Costco bundle its 514.00 and has 2 controllers and either Killzone or Knack. No pre-orders much like the US, so I would get there early.

Doesn't seem like an appealing bundle. $400 for the PS4, $60 for the game -- so it's like getting PSN+ for $40. There was a deal on Best Buy some time ago where you could get PSN+ at that price and I think it was Amazon that had the same price the other day.

Yep I would imagine so though Sony appears to be sending enough to cover all pre orders so you will basically be selling to desperate parents for Christmas.

Left out the extra controller.

So for $514.99 you get the console ($400), a game ($50), a controller ($60) which is $510. You get PSN+ for essentially $5. That is a $25 savings over the linked deal. If the game is $60 you save five bucks and get PSN+ for essentially free.

Ugh, that shit is idiotic and all the media sites downplaying the resolution differences are idiots. 720p Vs. 1080p in a game isnight and daywhen you actually play them on a HDTV screen. Easiest way to see this is to just hook up your PC to your TV and play with different resolution settings. Yeah, it's harder to tell the difference in shitty ass web videos, but in practice the difference is readily apparent.

Hell, you don't even need to hook up your PC to your TV, just do it on your monitor. There's no PC gamer on earth that would choose 720p over 1080p and for good reason.

I'm watching Breaking Bad in 720p right now and I may as well be watching a rerun of I Love Lucy. I haven't owned a 720p TV in years, and my inlaws gave us this Samsung 46inch 3 days ago because they upgraded. The quality is absolute garbage, and anyone who can't immediately tell the difference needs to visit an optometrist ASAP. Fine details are totally gone and edges on almost everything are super ragged. Lighting really suffers too from what I can tell.

Maybe I can get a few bucks for it, because quite frankly, I've had CRTs that look better.

I run a laptop hooked up to a 60inch full HD plasma.

Difference between 720p and 1080p is roughly as dramatic as DVD to HD. It is indeed huge. Sadly it is not the best laptop, so I am not able to run all games at the highest resolution unless I turn off lots of stuff. So I rather have options to high with lower res than higher res with options turned off. But you have to have impaired vision to not spot the difference between those two resolutions. Only reason to say something else when it comes to the PS4 vs Xbox one is to either have been paid a large sum by Microsoft or be an incredible fanboy refusing to accept reality.

It's funny, this last generation you had sites making big deals out of shit like the X360 running games at 620p and the PS3 running them at 600p. Now that the scales have tipped in Sony's favor, despite there being a MASSIVE fucking difference in comparison to that, they all try to play it off like it doesn't mean shit when it clearly does in practice. Looking at game running at 720p Vs 1080p on a monitor/hdtv you definitely have to have some seriously impaired vision to not see the difference.

I don't really give a fuck which console has superior resolution, since I will be purchasing neither, but for people to claim they can't see the difference when comparing resolutions... well... They must have grown up under power lines.

The resolution matters the least to me (albeit some). What matters to me is Sony has put out a superior product in terms of content since I was like 11 years old. If PS4 was 720p and xboner was 1080p I'd still go with PS4 just because I know for me the quality of exclusives will be better. Plus I like the controller better.

My dad once told me he couldn't tell the difference between his blu-ray player using the component (red, white, yellow - that's component right?) and HDMI. I wanted to slap him. We later found out it was a big lie because he didn't want to buy an HDMI cable. When I told him I could get him one for like $3 it was the best day of his life.
