I didn't say it was difficult. It'sannoying as fuckthough. Managing 32GB would be just way more convenient than 8GB.

Right, you actually have to download shit while it's available. Though, you don't actually have to download it, just start a download on the PS3 then cancel it. Alternatively you can go to the PSN Store website which is 100000x faster and easier to navigate than the laggy PS3 store and just click buy there and you don't have to deal with starting a download at all.

I assume you will be able to do the same thing with the online website with PS4 games.

It's a proper translation. He could be exaggerating, but who knows. It was said by Cboat many months ago that Microsoft is having massive yield issues, so it's entirely possible. They did cut down their launch country list to only 13 countries while Sony is launching in 32. I imagine that they are pooling most of their manufacturing for North America. It would not surprise me if Germany is getting boned and a major supplier is literally getting that many more.

It's also curious because the Gamestop here said they weren't allowed to take any preorders for xbones.. they are literally taking down people's information and calling them up after launch to see if they want to buy one. I think she said they had no idea at all what they were getting for xbones.

It would not surprise me if Sony starts off the generation with a 4-5x global install base. I'm fairly certain that they are going to break all console launch records by a fairly significant margin.

This is yet another problem that stems from Microsoft stupidly going with ESRAM (major factor in the yield issues).

On other news. Finally.... after so many years, bought a new hard drive for my PS3 today to upgrade from the 60 gig (not getting a PS4 until a RPG or something hits, which may be a while). Really Sony... You sell a 600 dollar console due to the blu ray and fancy tech you put in it, and use the WORST SCREWS KNOWN TO MAN on the hard drive slider? I can't even swap it. I need pliars that I have to go buy tomorrow. Screw driver (and it fits the screw perfectly) just twists off the metal like it is made of lead. Very rare for me to do it, I am a calm man, but I raged. Fuck those 4 tiny pieces of metal preventing me from downloading all my unplayed PS+ games that were too big to fit on my 60 gig.

Yeah I just signed up and an going through the agonizingly slow process of downloading Uncharted 3, Dragon's Dogma, Jet Set Radio, and Oddworld. Does depress me a little I never subscribed though, but hopefully the web trick works for PS4 so I can get ahead before buying the console.

I don't care about baseball at all, but the production level and attention to detail in these games often made me want to buy one just to experience it as a kind of high fidelity virtual documentary on a televised sport.

How often do the free games on PSN+ change? I'd like to pick up Uncharted 3 -- would be nice, ideally, if I could wait with activating my PSN+ membership until I have the PS4 and can get some use out of it. I thought the games for November had just been posted, so they will stay until December?

Mostly for the off chance that when they add the game streaming/virtualization feature, I won't have to buy the game again. I don't suppose they'll make them all freely available...

There's a yearly change and a monthly change. Not sure when the year starts over.

In regards to picking a system up day one the comp at work says Costco will be getting 66 bundles. Not sure exactly whats in it but in the past it has been the system, an extra controller, and a game. Its 489.99 so dunno. It says 'estimated arrival date' as 11/13 but sometimes thats a ballpark in relation to when the depot gets it in. Also, thats not necessarily company wide, thats up to corporate. But anyway, with all those factors it still points to being in store week one.
