Wow, $25 to use your old headset with Xbox One. Thats fucking nuts.
Shouldn't be a surprise though, it's just more of the same bullshit they pulled with 360 peripherals. Like charging $100 for a 20GB HD or a "network adapter" that was really just a cheap repeater/bridge. Or entirely blocking the use of 900-degree steering wheels (except for a very expensive limited edition from Fanatec) because they wanted to make people buy their shitty 240-degree one.

It seems Tomb Raider is a brand that is more strongly linked to Sony, because the PS4 version sold almost three times more than the Xbox One version... A strange console cycle is starting.

The console numbers will probably more relevant once Titanfall + Halo whatever and Infamous drops.

Imagine if you had to pay $25 for drivers for PC headsets for PC gaming? That would be fucking great.
Actually I seem to remember Creative trying to charge me for audio drivers to make my audigy work after an OS upgrade.

Triple the sales, double the fps :^)

I'm happy with the PX4's I got for my PS4. Battery life is sweet, wireless is nice. I figured if I'm going to spend hours on the system, I might as well enjoy it to the max yolo

That would be a compelling argument if the sales numbers of the new consoles were low and if both systems were taking dust on the retailers' shelves as gamers wait for great exclusives. That's not what is happening though: the consoles are flying off the shelves. In a way it's even worst for Microsoft: with multiplatform titles (Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, Fifa) driving the sales, buyers heavily favor the PS4.

EDIT: I should add that these mutiplatform titles are also multigenerational (as in available on PS3 and X360). That will also be the case for Watch Dogs, Destiny, Titanfall and Thief. The next AAA PS4 exclusive in sight is Infamous 2nd Son, later we'll get The Order: 1886. For the Xbox One it will be Halo later this year (maybe) and... Quantum Break?

ahhh nice to know about the PX4's have been looking at getting a set of them, any bad things to say ?
I really have no complaints myself. I tried the PX22's (MLG BRO), and those faggoty CoD Shadow ones, and both were a pain in the dick to setup for the PS4. The PX4's were quick and easy. Battlefield sounds amazing in surround sound

PX4 have "surround" as well?

EDIT: Nevermind. I see your BF4 comment.

NPD Sales Result for January 2014 [Up2: XB1 HW, PS4/XB1 were #1/#2 best selling] - NeoGAF

Xbox One number calculations:

"Comparatively, Xbox One consoles have sold at a rate of 2.29 times faster than Xbox 360 in the U.S. in the same timeframe for the first three months on the market." - Microsoft PR

Xbox 360:

November 2005: 326K
December 2005: 281K
January 2006: 249K
=
Three month total: 856K

Xbox One:

November 2013: 909K
December 2013: 908K
=
Two month total: 1817K

So:
1817K + ???K January 2014 = (856K) * 2.29 times faster
1817K + ???K January 2014 = 1960K
Xbox One January 2014 sales = ~143K

Math says then PS4 sold ~300k consoles in NA in January. We could compare that to PS4's December NA sales...if they had ever given us those numbers.

900k to 150k for XB1 definitely ain't great, but I'm still waiting for the Titanfall burst.

They were relatively neck and neck in December for the US, I think around 50k. Supply should open up for Sony once they launch in Japan.

I don't think Microsoft is going to get a big lift from Titanfall, especially with overall worldwide sales, which are even more abysmal than in the US. You also have to assume Japan is going to be a huge chunk of sales for Sony.

Well, XB1 is in 13 countries. Basically NA and Europe. So those numbers should increase. If they don't ... hi heeeeeee *collar tug*
