I'll give SO5 a try. 3 was fantastic in my opinion. I played that game for hours. I never completed all the battle trophies but I did all the post game dungeons and bosses. I remember the last time I killed Freya, the fight was a solid hour...

4 looked good and the gameplay was really solid. But the story was terrible and was made even worse by the little girl character who was annoying as fuck.

That aside SO2 is quite literally my favorite JRPG of all time, i had so much fuckin fun in that game its ridiculous. Tales of Vesperia comes in a strong second for me.

I've played so many JRPGs i wouldnt know where to start or end a list, I remember spending alot of time in Legend of Dragoon and Legend of Legaia!

SO4 i really enjoyed the entirety of. The only problem besides the baby you carried around was the last area. It was like they doubled the difficulty of the monsters for no reason other than it was the last area. Really made me mad because I ended up just running away from everything whereas in every other area I fought entirely through to completion.

i'm not into horror games so never tried it but I guess Silent Hills from Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro (pacific rim) is dead, GDT confirmed it at a comic con panel or something this weekend. Plus Konami, you know, fired Hideo recently

The PS4 demo is being pulled from the PSN store on Apr 29th so if you wanna grab it probably should do it asap

I finally made up my mind on a ps4 (read, my student debt is finally cleared). Am just gonna wait for a decent deal to pop in Quebec now. The last of us at 449 bundle sounds legit but ill prolly wait a bit to see if something comes on amazon or other distributors. I know dell had a decent deal recently but missed it.

Thanks for the rec, picked it up this afternoon and played for a couple hours. Really fun game. Music is good but can get a bit repetitive b/c it seems like it is a short loop.

Agree on the music. Apparently the entire game was developed by one dude, including the music.
