Yet again, the unmentioned story is Nintendo's worrying sales... of the 3DS.

Sub 130k, when all of the existing tentpoles (they still have Smash coming, unlike previous gens) are out, is just not good. I'm not sure even the GBA-ish sales arc they were mirroring is believable anymore.

Or to review, compared to last gen, the handheld is shrinking markedly, the console is a footnote, and now they went to spread their development staff even thinner on some sort of lifestyle device, with no guarantee any interesting ideas can't be instantly copied for smartphones.

The next three or four years could be gruesome to watch.

Still plenty of solid PC games to keep me occupied until the real next gen titles start showing up. Including games like BF4 which, as with all Battlefield games, should be played on PC. What they really need to do is port over GTA 5, I'd re-buy that in a fucking heartbeat for PS4 or Xbone.

0 games for my XB1. None within my interests that I wouldn't be better off playing on PC atm. Later I'll have to choose between console-friends and PC-friends when good FPS start coming out.

its not surprising, the engine for PC at least is source engine from valve. If you run titanfall and let it sit at the logging in screen and then tab over to steam and try to run counterstrike go, you get the error message "Only one instance of the game can be running at one time". The source engine is 10 years old this year

sucks they couldn't have waited a bit longer for source 2 which is coming out this year, that seems to support full destructible environments and much, much better textures and lighting.

In my limited gaming time I've just ended up tinkering with Marvel Heroes and EQ Landmark. Played a ton of Madden (bought it twice this year), a full season (80+ games?) of MyPlayer in NBA2k, some NFS, Killzone, enough of the PS+ titles to not feel like my membership is being wasted and to grow even more apathetic of indies, enough of Ryse and Dead Rising to get a fix but not burn out, enough of Forza to know that I need to stick to NFS games... a bit of Lego Marvel but it's my 3rd copy, getting a little tired of it but will get back to it eventually. I've done my bingeing on next gen games, I'm just consuming the content I enjoy quicker than it's being released and my gaming ADD is in full effect. Will get Injustice shortly, would prefer waiting for another $35 or less sale again. Just binged on the comics, holy hell.

Haven't turned on my PS3 since next gen got here, nothing coming to change that thus far, should go ahead and sell it. Stopped even getting the free PS+ games (most of which I own on PC anyways), I've moved on.

Hard to say really, they could just be hitting it, or they could be extremely behind on demand.

January was also super constrained for two reasons:

1) Theysupposedlyair-freighted half their January shipment in early to get it in for December. Normally it takes amonthby boat to ship stuff from that area to the US.

2) They've been stockpiling PS4's for Japan's February 22nd launch. It's going to be interesting to see how much they allocated over there. They reportedly sold out every pre-order slot.

If it ends up being 99/1 in Asia, 66/33 in North America and 75/25 in Europe, one has to wonder if the Microsoft shareholders will be amused, even if the Xbox division makes money.

They haven't even given an Asian date at all. Just a vague "September 2014" and there's no known Japan plans at all. So it's more like 100/0 for a while there.

I haven't owned a Sony console in over 12 years but I might get PS 4 for Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2. What are some good Xbox One exclusives?

I hope they never make a Last of Us 2. If they do, it should follow someone else, and not Joel/Ellie.

I hear Kinect Sports Rivals is a pretty good exclusive. A little jelly I don't have that for ps4
