The whole season went downhill with each passing episode and the last episode was hot garbage.

It's just another in there long line of huge missed opportunities caused by the TDS crew. Imagine if they had a balance of crazy left crazy right, it would have been comedy gold mixed with violence. As it is it just pushed "the message". I'm at the point of just assuming Vought was the authoritarian left and I'm hoping Homelander blows the whole place up.

Kripke didn't kill Maeve because of LGBTQ bullshit, what a faggot. Loved the entire season until the finale. What's funny is I completely forgot Maeve was a dyke, when was the last time they touched on that subject?

Pretty much can’t start watching shows until the whole series is done now or else you risk letting some cuck butcher the source material or just fuck it up at the end for no reason.

I enjoyed the whole season and the final. Power levels did seem wonky. I wonder if the steel straw to the ear (and maybe brain) will come back to haunt at some point.

at any rate, other than power level stuff not being consistent (which happens all the time with comics/comic shows/comic movies) I enjoyed it.

also, I too laughed at the anticlimactic Starlight power up.

I really hope they bring Soldier Boy back. Ackles was great in the role, and the character would be a great wildcard to throw in even if only for a few episodes next season. As far as I'm concerned, he's the hero of the show at this point.

Would love this... but I think he is never showing up again, they just seem to love to have these one season characters and then always end on some sort of soft reset.
Its hurting the show, I think.
Better less seasons with a lot of punch than dragging it out just to pump out more seasons. This seasons finale screams of "oh we have more seasons to do... so I guess this is the ending".

I think Homelander is kind of "blown up" by Vought and people in everyone's minds. I'm trying to think back and was there any point, until the 3v1 where Homelander was uncontested but some one actually TRIED to fuck him up? It's always been "oh shit, he has lazer eyes AND can fly! No way I can fight that!" I think he's strong, but not as strong as all the PR and Vought babysitters would have him to believe. Maeve was said to have been training for months while she told everyone she wasn't specifically to fight Homelander at some point. I don't think their strength levels are that much different, just maybe Homelanders durability (and maybe not? Dude got fucking strawed). Basically flying/eye lazering are all Homelander seems to REALLY have over any other tough supe 1v1. Maeve was basically Black Noir without the ninja theme and maybe higher strength.

Since Vought specifically made everyone, good or bad, with V it makes sense that there'd be basically 0 people able to show up Homelander when everyone is told he's a living God. Outside of clashes in the last season and this season, no one has fought the dude. He just comes in and kills humans or ambushes supes he wants dead.
