I think the only reason I've enjoyed the show is because I like the actors and the roles or characters that they play, but the writing is really gone off a cliff. I guess I'm more curious as to what's going to happen in this one but after reading that article somebody else posted the other day about the priorities of the showrunner, I may not ever know what happens to the boys!

So finished Gen V last night. The second half of the season is better than the first half (not a high bar by any stretch). In the big picture I am glad I finished it because I can definitely see how some of this is going to be relevant to the Boys. The last 5 minutes or so was the highpoint of the season. #TeamHomelander

I'm fine watching the new season. Not excited, but I'm looking forward to it. I know the writers are going to try their absolute best to trash Homelander and it'll all be direct parallels with Trump in some type of way. Fucking gullible if you think they dont make alterations to the script at the last minute. But just like real life, the way theyre going to portray Homelander will actually make me like the character even more. Just like the previous seasons did. I think its hilarious how the writers are getting the actor to act "arrogant" but all it really does is come off as some dude thats sick of all the bullshit.

IMO at worst it's going to be some solid fucked up fucking shit up action. I think the casting and generally solid performances make the show, and keep it watchable. Though I tend to be able to keep expectations low and appreciate a show or movie for what it is.

Even by Season 2 it was getting a bit absurd that Butcher and crew could survive so many direct confrontations with Homelander, Black Noir, etc.
Not looking forward to their politics this season either, but hopefully Season 5 gets a comic Black Noir adaptation on their way to killing off everyone.

My guess is voting doesn’t go the way Homelander wants, he stops pretending to care, and he takes over the government by force by the end of season 4. This would more or less mirror the comics
Season 5 will be the defeat of Homelander and Butcher’s plan to kill all Supes everywhere (including The Boys who took the serum), which happened in the comics. Gen V already hinted they plan to follow the Butcher+virus idea

I mean, thats kind of been the thought all along. In that in reality, this shit would be a hell of a lot more brutal than even what the show is showing. Someone like homelander would be, in reality, instant death to just about anyone that mocked him. If there was even a hint of someone developing a super weapon against me, and I had super hearing, and the aid of the intel from other Supes.. I'd be an unstoppable force of death and control. Which.. thats probably a story in itself that I could watch/read. But it wouldnt be a very good one for this show, lol.

They did the same 12AM PST release with Invincible (I think it was). I could have swore the season started with releases at around 10 EST the day before, then did the switch to 12 PST sometime mid season, but I could just be remembering wrong. Between Netflix, Prime, and Hulu/FX it's hard to remember which service is at which time.
They have been experimenting with episode releases schedules too. Clarkson's Farm was half the season one week, then half the next.

Kripke never seemed the deluded libtard type. He worked on X files and Supernatural. Two fairly straightforward seemingly conservative shows.
