Can never tell by ratings anymore because critics won’t like it unless it’s three ours of tranny porn, and audiences are hit and miss. The theater audience for this type of film doesn’t exist, anyone who would see it isn’t going threaters anymore. Being almost 60 on the fans has me thinking it’s average film in 2024 terms

What a shit franchise to reboot. Of all the great 80s and 90s shit to chose from they pick this C tier shit? And then they wonder why no one gives a shit about it? The only thing about the OG was Bruce Lees son, the movie itself sucked prob just like this one.

He died to a blank malfunction during a shootout scene.
In the scripted moment not seen in the finished movie, Eric is shot by ruffian Funboy (Michael Massee). As cameras rolled, Lee was shot in the abdomen with a piece of a dummy bullet left in the gun's barrel from an earlier scene.

It's got the main villain from The Warriors. It's got Winston from Ghostbusters. It's got that Asian girl with the comically large nipples. It's got a lot of violence and a great soundtrack. It's overrated, because of Brandon Lee's death, but it's still a good movie.

For him just starting out he was doing some decent stuff. You had the Crow, but I liked him more in Rapid Fire and Showdown in Little Tokyo.
